I started writing poetry when I was 13. Things weren’t going right with my life then and it just kept going downhill from there. I needed a way to get out my feelings in away that didn’t hurt others and/or myself. Diaries didn’t work, I just couldn’t bring myself to write how I felt in a book that could be found and understood. So in my poetry I can say what I am thinking then pass it off as speaking about someone else. I would write a new poem every day about anything I saw fit, and I have been ever since. My poetry was, until I found DA, for my eyes and my eyes only, now I have an online family that I can trust to critique my poetry honestly and understand what I mean by it. Now I want to share my poetry with anyone who will read it, and I also want to say thank you to all those that have supported me and made me who I am today; a happy, loving and smiling…. |
I may have never had it,
But I know what love is...
They are everywhere,
The men of the world...
I will never hear his voice,
Calling my name...
They are everywhere,
The men of the world...
Fight or flight
A dragon backed into a corner...
Here we are,
Awkwardly standing...
I may have never had it,
But I know what love is...
To Love is to be Loved... |
