All-powerful, mighty creator,
To man's limited flesh now bound...
Little social butterfly,
Flitting her wings as she goes by...
Dawn peeping through,
A breath of air...
The heavens are hushed,
The time has come...
As I came to worship, looking forward to the day,
As I came to worship, chafing at the delay...
Sky shaded grey, air turns crisp,
Light softly fades, wind turns brisk...
Hush now, child of war,
I know they're calling...
If the stars fall down and when life is cold,
If the seas run dry and you're growing old...
For a moment may your heart melt with fear,
For He comes...
Rain falls... why do poets write so much on rain?
Poets can say what others cannot...
Tears in silence, hopeless tears,
As grief engulfs my being...
O God, my God! I cry out to You!
Save me from the evil things I do...
