As I strain
For a light...

As I rise each morning with the shining sum
Whilst dawn is present and the day has just begun...

I don't even know anymore
Where we're heading...

Its bizarre the way you hurt me
And the way you can cut me deep inside...

Love is blind or so they say
It comes back to hurt you one day...

I know the road your walking now
Appears to be lonely and rough...

There has been many a moment
When I have seriously contemplated my life...

Sometimes I wonder how I got here
What helped me overcome those fears...

I am sitting here in the late of night
Trying to express myself with the poetry I write...

It all started just after the New Year
We had our first argument and shed our tears...

I can almost remember the day you were born
Seeing you so tiny lying in that hospital bed...

My baby I love you and you are my life
Together we can face these trials, tribulations...
