Time after time, children have been told that sticks and stones may break their bones but words will never hurt them. And by now we should all know that is a lie. Words can be a powerful weapon that destroy the mind and wound the soul.

What we may view as monsterous and ugly may be viewed as lovely and beautiful in the eyes of another.
