Broken.
That's how I appeared before our peers...
Breathing the air used to calm the trembling
That erupts from my terrified heart...
I remember that one fateful night,
The night I dreadfully died...
Every time you touch me, my heartbeat quickens...
My knees grow weak with each sweet and gentle kiss...
Sheltered by my own protection,
Veiled by the lace of my shirt...
Sometimes I forget
Why I wake up every morning...
Empty promises, empty words,
Dance behind my closed eyes...
I shudder as I feel
Your fingers trail my arm...
"Sweetie, brace yourself"
I tell the mirror...
Silent as a shadow
yet bright as the sun...
I watch feathers fall
Upon emerald green grass...
The moon whispers starlight upon my veranda
As I sit out in the cool kiss of night...
