Arms winding tightly
Love clear in each whispered word...
Sensitive tears brush along porcelain cheeks...
Oppressive pain blowing away with each gentle kiss...
I sat on that old black leather couch, alone,
My fingers absently playing with that velvet box...
Haunting screams echo throughout the attic,
My ears assaulted by their deafening fear...
I lay down in a bed of deceit and lies,
Surrounded by our fabricated love...
I tell myself that I'll be fine,
That I have to be strong...
Lying upon the floor,
Tears pooled around her body...
Shadows within her heart begin to fade
As she welcomes the pouring rain with arms agape...
I watch feathers fall
Upon emerald green grass...
Smile in agony
Do they not see how it hurts...
Her smile rules this rusty old heart,
Lighting up my darkened skies more than any...
Swept away by all that I adore and hate the most,
The raging river called love...
