Tanya Southey is a people-collector, tea-drinker, dog-lover, poetry-junkie and recently published author. Her children’s adventure story Ollie and the Starchaser subtly explores grief and loss. In 2018 Tanya completed a poetry challenge – #52words52weeks – where she collaborated with London Street Photographer, Denise Smith, to create a poem a week. In 2019 they are continued the project as they are hooked on having a creative blast together. In 2020, their theme is "The week that was..." Her mission, whether in writing or life, remains to help people reach their full potential. |
Rowing into the still lake
My heart...
I remember as
a child, learning...
I don’t have space
for grief...
The whispering
started gently...
Somewhere on a peninsula,
near the sea...
