I cannot stem the evil tide
That rises from my lips...
A silent sentry holds his guard
Deserted by his fellow stars...
As soft as smoke, the fire came
trailing through the daffodils...
The torches are blazing
the blades are alight...
We used to dream of battles won
Now truths slump heavy on our tongues...
My skin's like an accordion
With pale indents all around...
silent robbery
forming a consuming void...
When you don't wanna wake up tomorrow
It's hard to work today...
The darkness shivers with rain
And light splits the sky in two...
The withered flames
caress the wood...
Water dribbles past the icy sheath
and pummels sandstone with its shine...
I have tugged my heart from my chest.
It does not leave willingly...
