Ghost, dear
Come to haunt me...
The night bathes the forest in red
And the leaves gnaw at tired old bones...
I started my destruction
So early and so well...
Leaves flicker bright, dark
Wind whisks sparking sunlight through...
I slip out of myself
Each time I drop into the screen...
We left the earth in darkness
To explore the velvet sea...
You're a need, not a want, in their mind
And they don't care what evil they find...
How many times
Must I crack myself apart...
I made a star for you
And I set it in the sky...
I think I'd rather be liked than known
And I know myself so much less than I should...
Perhaps in another lifetime I'd let myself be held
While tears shine like starlight on the tabletop...
Winter's fingers shine with blood
The droplets frozen hard...
