The days pass by so slowly,
and the nights are a frigid cold...
Feeling of freeness
as I flew down the hill...
Don't ever change,
is what they always say...
In the shadows of my mind,
someone is going to break through...
The engine revs in that pickup truck,
another night you're gone...
The stranger across the room,
the one looking you in the face...
After four years of teachers,
school lunches and the tests we've failed...
You think my life is perfect,
or atleast that's what they say...
You left me broken,
like glass shattered on the floor...
With the line staring back at us,
this was the most emotional task...
I've waited for 5 years,
watching you from afar...
As I sit in the back of the room,
remembering as who you used to be...
