Spreading joy and winter cheer...
Hoping and wishing, for the snow to fall,
Blanket the ground for the big and the small...
The year is 1952
My father is the age of ten...
Next to the mantel piece
stands the brightly lit tree...
Pleasant nights.
Snowy whites...
Feeling snow upon your face,
as into the storm you run and chase...
Sitting here all alone bringing up memories,
thinking of Christmas long ago...
Dear Santa clause,
*Im writing you this hour...
I want to embrace within your heart;
I want to abide there for always...
The chandelier of heaven lights
Descend upon the waking night...
Someone asked me today what Christmas was,
and I thought about it long and hard...
