I went to mine, and I didn't have a date, but neither did most of my friends. It didn't bother me and it didn't matter if we went without dates either, I just had fun with friends, dancing with everyone. I had a ridiculously expensive dress, but it was exactly what I wanted and although it wasn't worth it, it was to feel nice for the night. It was purple and backless with a really pretty thin straps. My hair wasn't anywhere near what I wanted it to be, which disappointed me a lot, but oh well.

I had an amazing night and had so much fun. I do suggest to go, and if you're not all that fussed on it, just don't spend a lot. Just buy a cheaper dress, which still look amazing, and have fun. :]

Oh and I saw your dream dress, it's gorgeous. Our prom [although we call it formal] dresses are full length though, or at least they are supposed to be.

I hope you have heaps of fun! :]

We don't have proms in Holland, we just have random parties were we go to a disco or have dinner. They're fun though.
