How is life suppose to end,
filled always with dread.

Is it just me that fails,

the way that I think.

I just can't see,
how life is about love.

You lay pressed between pages of black and white,
Moulding into the shape and shade you wished for,

Under children's pillows lay fairy dust and lies,
Only to be told not to be so dishonest in maturity,
Followed by magical promises and tales of flying,
We grow up under a sense of nothing but false security.

Now you are as invisible as you ever wanted to be,
So small and delicate, you wish for so much,
But petals fade and press so flat beside you,
Just to savour a moment like I did your touch.

So paint me in silver and sell me for gold,
I'd rather be lost than never even seen,
Those lies you grew up with are catching up,
And you never learnt the difference between.

This fairytale is a never-ending nightmare,
So I'm letting you know, I'm leaving today,

Pages of insecurities watercolor roads of chalked hearts,
Distancing our love between broken color of determination,
Embroidered firefly's prance become lost within painted hour,
Though if you dare to stumble rain drops are all you shall see.

Grasp my hands in manipulation for daggers reach star hearts,
Dreams of silhouettes shall now entwine with a rose of thorns,
Pebbles portrayed an outcome as wax gently leaves the flame,
Flower beds hold no beauty for porcelain lies aggravate my sleep.

Moonlight across floor boards taunts me with its angelic glow,
Whispering your words into the winds of a higher known calling,
A scent of wicked perfume travels carelessly through light breeze,
Tempting me with deceit as you play these games of pretend.

With the demanding lives you endure,

And becoming so very mature.

There are others here I could call my friends,

Whew! for a second I was worried I missed the due date again. I let time get away from me sometimes. I should have the poems done this weekend but don't hold me to it. I've been known to forget sometimes. I do have one done but I'll wait to post them all at once. ^^

Echo proudly in her ears; reminiscence

Though his warm embrace no longer nearby
Her thoughts still frenzied with his passion
Clenching to what's been left; loyalty and bliss
Frantically holding on to sweet recollections
For they provide faint warmth and fondness
Certain to not let memories fade like photographs

A Reason For Broken Wings

I'm your imperfect angel,
Sent down from the sky.
To pick you up when you stumble,
To wipe away tears you cry.

I know I must stay strong for you,
And for myself as well.

And yet there's still an anchor,
That prevents me from being able to soar.

through the letters infected with frigidity-
simple distortions complicate blurred days,
counting reasons for bleeding scattered goodbyes.

Staring at the white-winged, radiant doorway
I face chimerical rejection; fingers entwine with darkness-
these masks of sorrow forever I'll keep.
Starry saviors cannot justify those latent dreams.

Absorbing vibrations of some broken inspiration
wounds the spirit with javelins of flames-
this crisis extends its silver tentacles
moistening thoughts with violet, toxic rain.

You can daze me with intricate fallacies
cause I let my soul to be seduced,
swallowing forlorn promises once again
within this world framed with oblivion.

For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic.

Leaves fell in spring and you found it so beautiful,
Yet when the flowers bloomed in autumn you cried.
Finding the beauty in opposites never amazed you,
But then again, you'd shine every time you lied.

Forever never ended unless it was your promise made,
And while I wish, like we all do, that I was wrong,
I went ahead and crashed through your doors anyway,
Even though I knew this wasn't going to be worth it all along.

If I may say so myself; for a pessimist, I'm pretty optimistic,
