Is it really a scary encounter as some people say it is? Any tips .. stories .. guidance on dealing with salesmen. I do not want to walk into the dealership blind.

    thanks :]

I work at a dealership and personally in my opinion your parents are the ones buying the car as stated in the other thread. I don't think salesmen are as scary as what I once thought before I started working at a dealership. They know what they are doing, and should know their product. I would make sure that you definitely got a salemen/woman that knows the product in which you are inquiring, safety features, and any kind of warranty that you would purchase is definitely a good thing. It is not just an upsell. I am sure your parents know how to go about it with the sales professional. As with most dealerships here. If you see it at one lot you can bet the other lot can get it. Just relax and remember they are people too. They will/should treat you with respect. If not they should have customer service manager that can rectify any problem you may have. Good Luck
