So prom is still outta the question =/

So my highschool prom is rapidly approaching, and with all the hype built up around it, I begin looking at girls i'd want to ask. Obviously in my situation there was only one. This girl I had gotten to know oh so well over the last few weeks. We got to know each other really well, I knew a ton bout this girl. And she knew more than plenty about me. So I had spent a long time thinking of a way to ask her.

About 2 in the morning I figured a way. I drew this cute lil picture of a boy and a girl dancing, and in lil fancy writing I wrote "Will You Go To Prom With Me?" and cut it up into little peices of paper and then slipped it to her, turns out she either really didnt wanna go, or doesnt like puzzles. Cause she said no =(

Reasoning was that she didnt feel she knew me all that well. This just raised questions on the spot, it was soooo obvious that this wasnt the true reason, and i've been racking my mind to figure it out. I want to ask someone else to prom, but I had such high standards for this one considering who I wanted to go with. =/ this happened friday, im still a bit bummed, but hopefully things will look up.

I'm guessing she said "no" because you couldn't finish that big tuna sandwitch of yours...lol.

    But I digress...

I think that you analysed your own flaws in this case, you have high standards that many women cannot fulfill, and this is only for going to a prom, no less.

So you need to ask yourself...Am I a good catch for many of these women. And the answer will reveal itself.

My suggestion, like the ones above me, will be to lighten up, and choose someone who you find interesting to the date.

Well I myself was a bit tired when I had written the above. What I'm trying to say is that I got to know this girl very much, she knew me quite a lot, and we seemed to click. And after a long dry spell of loneliness, it was nice to feel connected and cared for by another individual. It seemed like it was evident that it would happen.

What I have found out today that because of rumors around school (as untrue as they obviously are) tended to sway her decision. So i'm a bit upset about this.

    And the rumours are?

    Pray tell...

Yes I understand the time and effort put into this, its only natural you'd be depressed... However you musn't give up that glimmer of hope... I think you need to ask her why she rejected your invite, and hopefully reflect from there

Well a lot of the people at our school like to start crap (go figure hs right?) and word got a round that I would so called "play" this girl. Which when I heard this I almost went ballistic.

So she was kinda offed by that and i'm trying to build it back up and earn some trust, but a certain people are making it quite difficult.

Well at least the rumours aren't that harsh...

But as I stated before, the answer seems simple, which is to simply speak to her and assure her that these rumours are unfounded...

I wonder why you haven't done that?

Is it because the rumour have been based in truth or you're afraid that she'll reject you once again...
