Well in May like normal theres a year 11 prom, and its really annoying me that people keep asking me who im going with... On thursday this girl in my year kept going why dont you ask him or him and i honestly could have shouted at her to leave me alone about the matter ill get a date if i want one.

I mean i cant complain to much people in my year dont normally talk to me, but i would rather go with my best mate (whos a girl) then have to worrie if a guy is going to ask me or if he will say yes if i ask him...

^___^ Just had to write this... Any one going to a prom this year? ^___^

I graduated already: My junior prom I missed, didn't want to go alone. Last year, my senior prom, I went with my Junior friend, he was older by two months but I was young for my grade, who I had a crush on. He kept telling me to dance with his friend while he had to do prom prince stuff so I did. Me and his friend have been dating for the past nearly ten months since then!

I think its easier if you're a girl, because (and this may sound sort of sexist) you can go with another girl without the majority of the school thinking you are gay. I think if you don't want a date, go with a friend.

This year i am going to prom for the 1st time because i am a junior. i know i am going to end up going alone though, which sucks. but eh. i'll live. its less pressure i know. because my soph. homecoming i went w/ my then bf and it made me nervous that i had to pay all my attention to him and not my friends at all. so i guess it's easier

that doesnt mean i dont want a date though =p i still got time i suppose

It's not a big deal either way. Go with a boy, go with a girl, go with a group, or go alone. You don't need a date to have fun, and you don't need to feel pressured if you do have one. Just enjoy it and stop thinking too much into it, you'll only stress yourself out.

I already graduated and I went to prom my senior year...i had a blast...my date was one of my guy bestfriends! I had fun...but I always imagined going to prom with someone I was with like a bf...I didnt have one back then... [we broke up like a week before prom =( ] but i had alot of fun with my friend... and now this year I will be going to another prom... my bf...hes a senior and i am going to be his date!! I am really excited but kind of weirded out since Im not going to school anymore...
prom puts alot of pressure but you have to learn to enjoy it no matter who you go with....

My boyfriend is in the year above me so when we had our yr 11 prom he wasn't allowed to come. I went with a group of my friends and had the most amazing night. None of my friends went with a date (except one but he's her boyfriend and was friends with all of us already) but at the end of the night they all got asked to dance. I was left on my own feeling a bit daft until one of my best boy mates who usually has 0 confidence asked me to dance. It was great because there was no pressure about whether or not anything would happen between us and it ended the night perfectly! It also helps that my boyfriend understands that I'm not about to run off with some other guy so I could feel completely comfortable and not at all guilty. Yay for prom!

The only reason you should go with a date is because you want to, not because everyone else says you should. The most important thing is to have fun =)
