Prom and Rape?

Well there was this one girl I had asked. She's a freshman, and I asked her to prom. Cause I really liked her ya know? And things just seemed to click with her, well I asked her and at the endo f the day she said no, I was upset but I tried to move on. I asked yet another girl, Brittney (yeah i know bad choice lol), and she had said yeah.

Brittney got in a fight with her mom and didnt know if she could go, and the freshman girl, (Alex) had said she shouldnt of said no and that she had wanted to go with me to prom and wanted to go with me. So I made sure it was alright, and since Brittney couldnt go I asked Alex. Yesterday Brittney comes up to me and says "My mom said I can go to prom!" so I kinda figured since Brittney said yes the first time and Alex said no, i should go with Brittney cause I gave Alex the chance.

Alex was fine with it and Brittney went dress shopping last night. My phone died at about 7 pm during the Winter Sports AWards, apparently Brittney tried to text me a few times about her dress cause she couldnt find one. She called my house phone a few times and when I got home I eneded up talking to her. I told her let me go to my room real quick so I could talk to her.

"So I've been in town for 3 hrs and I can't find any pink dresses" (She said this, we had decided on pink as our color yuou know?)

"Well that seems weird cause thats a really common color..."

and she hung up on me. I thought it was an accident so I called her back,

"Why'd you hang up on me?"

"Because I don't want to go to prom with someone being a dick like you! Have fun asking another desperate freshman to prom!" and she hung up again

We started texting each other. And she was still yelling bout how she found a yellow dress and she didnt get it cause I didnt want yellow when I really didnt care. This is where the drama really comes in.

About 2 weeks ago, this well known slut in our school (she walks around and talks bout all the guys she sleeps with.) Accused me and my good friend of raping her. Yeah this pissed me off because not only is it 100% untrue, I have no respect for rapists.

And the first time I heard about this was a week ago when Brittney had confronted me about it. I told her it was bull and that she shouldnt believe anything this drama queen says.

So at the end of our fight last night we were yelling and calling each other names and saying things that shouldnt be said to people who normally talk just fine to each other. And her last text to me had said....

I almost lost it right there. How I held myself back from putting multiple holes in my wall is beyond me. It just puts me so far back knowing that someone can just randomly say something like this, and something so extreme as rape, can be thrown at someone even though its completely untrue. And the fact that some people believe BS rumors that cripple people inside for life.

I didnt go near either of the 2 girls today, and the worst part is, the girl who is accussing me and my friend, talks to me, well trys to talk to me, as if she didnt say this whatsoever, when plenty of people have heard her, I dont know what to do, im just so outta it.

Yeah well the girl I was takin to prom, told me to watch my back, so its a threat, but I also let it slip that shes lucky she wasnt near me when she called me that cause I could hardly hold back slappin her across the face. (which would take trememndous hold, but I owuldnt be able to anyway)

A few of my friends have heard about it, and it hasnt spread too bad yet, (amazingly) but all of them are just like, wtf, she's stupid and nobody is going to believe her anyway.

But it doesnt help your reputation you know? Cause when people hear about my name I dont want this huge lie being mixed in with it. Its just horrible, cause I know the thoughts going through their heads when I get their looks.

I want to go to prom you know?

but the fact that everytime I think about it now this is going to be dragged up right behind it, I dont wanna remember this anymore than I have to.

Like I said I have 0 respect for anyone who has raped anyone, its just a horrible crime and to be considered someone like that, kills me.

No the girl Brittney had confronted me a week ago about the rumors and asked me about them. I told her these were far from the truth and she told me she believed me and that she knew i wouldnt do that.

But the fact that she called me it last night, even out of anger, just angered me so bad. I was just upset beyond belief. I couldnt stand to look at the two of them today at school.

I could see how your situation is difficult also. I know i'd be a little skeptical letting my girl go to prom with another guy, it would just seem weird to me and even if I trusted her its just the thought of what everyone is constantly saying. And no matter what anyone says about forgeting what people say, it doesnt do you any good cause it always comes back at another time to screw you over.

Yeah well its over, I dont wanna assosciate myselves with either of them anymore so I could care less.

That's kind of weird, but then again what really is a high school relationship but an excuse to lean on and grope one another openly =p

He is a little different, but I wish I could keep to myself more. I try to but im to much of an extraverted person, I cant stand the quiet lol.

Oh yeah for sure, i'll check it out, its almost 11:30 hre so i'll check it out and probably hit the sack. Lot of stuff on my plate today and yesterday so I'm trying to get over it all.

But yeah I do the same, if im in a real pissy mood, rather than taking it out on other people i just shove my iPod in my head and turn on some music and ignore everyone. But that last for like maybe a period.

Make it quick and simple, if the girl spreading the rumour still tries to talk to you, confront her on it and call her out,not by yourself of course. This happened to my cousin in high school, as soon as she was confronted about it, she denied to high heaven she had ever said any such thing. Too many little girls think this kind of accustaion is just fun and games.

If you're sixteen (as your profile says) isn't it a little early for prom?

I know for a fact this girl will deny it, shes seriously turned into a slut and she just spreads this around

but its just the fact that some people hear htis, and regardless of who its from whether they know her or not, its just in the back of their heads and comes up later.

Well the good news at the moment is her friend will keep her at her locker and wont let her leave until she looks me and my friend in the face and tells us thats what she said. Because knowing her, she will lie and say she never said such a thing, which she didnt tell her friend ;)

If she was actually raped, she wouldn't be able to just come out and tell the world that she was raped and who she was raped by. Like, seriously, that's the lowest blow I've ever heard anyone throw.

Yeah well i've flat out said to everyone, that its bs, and that if I really did and she went and got a rape kit, i'd be the first one down there proving it sure as hell was not me.

But the fact that she just walks around "seriously" telling people this, its bull.

Well thanks for the advice, honestly if you aint got anything worth reading, please dont just comment to just take up place. Its a serious issue thats getting to me, I could use help, not a statement that is obviously known and unhelpful.
