Hmm...I'm not sure. I think we would have to do a survey to truly know which one is USUALLY more controlling. As in ask people if they're more controlling than their spouse or something along those lines.

Ummm....girls are so much more controling....guys just come along for the ride...

That's what I thought at first Mello. In all of the T.V. sitcoms it always seems to be the Mom wearing the pants and the Dad on the leash. But then I thought about all of the other relationships where it is the other way around. I don't think it's really fair to say either way with no hard evidence (no, your personal experience does not count). That's why I believe there should be surveys and scientific studies. Heck, we might as well just google search this. We'll surly get many more scientific or statistical answers.

Personally in a relationship, let the women do the controlling I couldn't be bothered. She can balance the books and do anything she pleases. I'll go to work and come home with a smile on my face. GG

Then don't let yourself be controlled or a find another woman. People always base things off of their personal experiences and yet many of their experiences are all the same because they're doing the same thing over and over again. I wouldn't be surprised though if it was women. I'm not the controlling type but it seems to be that many are which I find quite disgusting. I find anyone being overly controlling disgusting.

If we look at society the answer is quite evident, men are more controlling than women...

Even the universality of religion is male dominated... but there are exceptions to the long standing patriarchy... where the matriarch rules... but again they make a small percentage

Well it all depends on how the person was raised. there personality and such. Everyone is different and i think becuase of that it would be impossible to tell

I agree with most of you it is 50/50.

but for me after seeing my mom "wear the pants" in the family,
i dont want to. so the guy i end up with better be able to fit into them. LOL ;)

Everyone is wired differently and everyone has different brain chemistry but i think it is more of how they were raised.

I dont think its gender that determines wether you are controlling or more. its a personality thing.
i have seen both controlling men and women in my life.

I think it is 50/50 also, my dad can be controlling but my mom is also very strong and can controll things her own way to but in a good way.....

It should be 50/50 but its not..
the way I was raised was for men to have control...but i totally disagree...i think it is a 50/50 is the way it should be...
my dad would control my mom so much... now she controls him...
my sister would be controlled by her husband when she got married at 16 but now her new husband has no control over her...
i guess it just depends on the person...
