Um...yea, well i guess i could start out as..."i have a boyfriend but i'm in love with my best guy friend."

i just...idk what to do
the story starts out as: my boyfriend is really different from me...like, we like dif. kinds of music, movies, we talk differently, our FRIENDS are WORLDS apart....but that's always kept us talking and idk how to explain it but it's just kept us close ... we always have something to disagree on and idk...it keeps everything open

yea, i like him a lot LOT
but he has a horrible rep. for being a player i guess
and a cheater...but idk
he's never been with anyone as long as he's been with me as far as i know...and HE'S always been the one to end it

but, then i have my best guy friend...granted, he and i are worlds apart too, but i dont argue with him as much AND we both have one thing incredibly in common...we both care about eachother a lot

and i was over to his house this weekend because we had been planning on watching this movie for months
and haha, he calls himself a "cuddle whore" and now i finally understand why....
but u know, that's normal for him...he cuddles with everyone lol
but the thing is, i was this close ---> <---
to kissing him...and idk
it scared me because i almost did

i'm just so confused
i really like my bf, but idk....

can someone give me advice please???

Well no
me and my boyfriend havnt broken up before

we've just been close to it i guess
it gets hard when he acts the way he does

but then he turns around the next day and he's a total sweetheart

and it's soooo confusing

For one, you can NOT listen to a reputation. Most of them aren't dependable and even if it were true, it's most likely a hyperbole and just extremely exaggerated, like my rep. You can't let what other people say affect the way you see him.

You're torn between two guys who are both different from you, but the only reason Guy Friend is in the picture is because the fact that you don't argue with him as much -- which is the easier, more relaxed route to take rather than stay with The Boyfriend -- who you DO argue with a lot.

And when you say "AND we both have one thing incredibly in common...we both care about eachother a lot" -- are you saying your boyfriend and you don't care about each other?

L i ll i t h: well, u see, somedays it seems like he's really happy to see me, then other days, he's just a complete jackass and wont talk to me, but he'll talk to every other girl in the room

Broken Reality: i see what you're saying about the rep. thing, and that's what i've been doing...becuase my dad has always taught me that unless someone gives you a reason not to trust them, you should....
my boyfriend and i DO care about eachother, but it just seems like i care about HIM and i worry about him and i'm always concerned about HIM and how HE's doing than it is for me.

If he's making you gloomy, he shouldn't. You should really think it through -- and I suggest talking to him about the way he makes you feel at times. It's a huge warning sign though, that you almost kissed Guy Friend. Until you figure out how you truly feel, don't do anything rash, or else it'll cause drama for you, Boyfriend, AND Guy Friend.
