WOW..Well, I not only feel hurt but also feel like my religion is somewhat manmade so to speak. I am a Roman Catholic, but from the looks of it some of you have objected to them all. I mean i don't preach the word of God, to be honest no one should have that right, nor should anyone be judged on the way they beleive in their faith. I am Canadian so the bush thing really doesnt matter to me but if i had it my way, bush would be imprisoned for the rest of his life to be a man bitch of some sort. Hows that for catholic??? I mean i dont go around knocking on peoples doors trying to sell bibles like some johova witnesses...my faith is only for me and thats that. Even at school I have gone to a catholic school all my life, note to self: The things that happen their are worse then public schools. I don't think it is fair to dictate anyone because of their religion i mean yah some may beleive in bush and his wacked out idea's but not everyone. I find it to mean and almost heart breaking to see so many of you huddle up and one post and talk down to these people who beleive in another religion. I don't mean to offend anyone but this is the impression left on me. I am disappointed in a lot of the comments just because i personally thought that being a certain religion had nothing to do with the way you are, but apparently it does now a days. I am just a little shocked is all.
Anyways I just thought I should voice my concern i understand alot of your reasons for the way you feel but always know just because more then 2 people beleive, or have faith in the same thing doesnt mean they are all bad or evil, or anything like that. or for that matter MENTALLY ILL...that was slightly harsh.
    just my thoughts
    take care always

P.S. If you do not beleive in God power to yah, i have NO problem with that i actually accept that. Beleive in whatever you feel is worth beleivening but dont dictate others for beleivening or talk down to them, not everyone is the same even thou they beleiven the same faith not all fight for the same reasons or agree with them all.

I do agree with most of the things you listed, as i do not believe in god and i think all religions are pretty much a cult any way you look at it, but that's just someone else's way of living. you cant judge a certain person just because of their religion. though evangelists do scare me. hypertheologistophobic actually means to be afraid of really religious people.

I hate bush....am a catholic, don't beleiven abortion. Hate me all you like. Your list of reasons i accept hell they even scare me somewhat. I am not one of those people who will preach to you because i hate it when someone does the same thing to me. But i do however, will say this. Have justification to hate a person other then their religion if they are not forcing it on you then why hate them because they choose to beleiven a faith?.....if yah dont beleiven God, prompts to you...fight for things you choose to beleiven and never stop until you have fufilled that but don't hate another human being because they do beleiven something....

You know what, I'm tired of hearing all of this bs about denominations, especially Catholics! I happen to be Roman Catholic and you cannot tell us apart from any other Christians. I think some people out there just need something to hate, and since they're probably going to hell, they hate us!

Wow, let's just bash everyone due to their beliefs, eh?

I am not Catholic. I am Baptist. I believe in God with all of my heart.

How can we fight about this? Basically, most (if not all) of this RELIGION vs RELIGION is based on how one interprets the Bible. Everyone is going to interpret it differently. There are some things that I don't totally agree with my friends and family about, but that's only because there are different interpretations of the Bible. These interpretations are turned into Religions and whatever. That's why there are so many different denominations.

Frankly, saying "I hate all Catholics" is a worse than terrible statement to make. That's like saying, "I hate all blacks." You don't know ALL catholics, so you can't hate all Catholics... That's what Hitler did with the Jews, you know. Many innocent lives were taken, because someone didn't like what someone else thought.

Now, I'm pretty sure no one is going to lead an army to kill all Catholics/Presbyterians/Baptists, or whatever. Hopefully, humanity learns from its mistakes.

Lexy: I would rather live my life for God, die, and find out He is not, than live my life apart from God, die, and fine out He is.

Of course, that should by no means be why one follows God. However, that seems to be the only way to speak to people who don't believe in God. If you want a better explanation, E-Mail me.

excuse me but i just read scooby's one and first of all its not johovas witnnessesits JEHOVAHS witnesses and we dont sale bibles!! we give them to ppl if they really want them and we go door to door because thats what jesus said to do in matthew 28:19 and i know ppl have all these crazy ideas about us and stuff that we are like fanatics and stuff or cults but thats not true the reason we go door to door is because we want ppl to know about the promise god Jehovah gives us in Apocolips 21:3,4 and Psalm 31:10 where all evildoers will be cut from earth and no more death and sickness will be on earth. im sorry but sum ppl really have a wrong idea about us if anyone one has any questions in our beliefs i'll gladly answer them just e-mail me at LaKiKi826@hotmail.com cuz like ppl always think we are weird 4 not celebrating birth-days and christmas and other holidays but really we have our biblecal reasons not too. well anyways just e-mail me if anyone wants to know why -kiki-

Well, I don't think you are able to speak for me, because the JEHOVAHS witnesses come to my door EVERY 3 days and YES they do try to sell me bibles. I do not beleiven that faith.....I don't appreciate them coming to my door trying to force their religion on me. And you don't open that door every 3 days so i don't think you know exactly how i would feel. And you said "We do not sell bibles we give them to people who want them"....So why do i have them coming to my house asking me to by a bible for 4.95$ every three days??? I am respectful towards them, when they do come every 3 days but. Also, if you wanted me to read a comment from yourself there are ways to go about it.....Calling on me in another post is not a way to deal with it. I do apoligize if i offended you but i live canada....apparently they sell bibles here i guess because i wouldnt say something like that if i didnt see it with my own eyes....So, i dont understand what your upset about ...yah i know everyone is not like that but tell me?....In my post that you read did is say EVERY JEHOVAHS witnesses???....i don't think so.....Religion is a very touchy subject for myself and it look like for you as well, so....i again apoligize for the statement i made, I just thought it was a normal thing because they do it here unless they really who they say are...something DEFINATELY worth while to check out. And, I don't need to be preached to because i have my faith i choose to beleiven God on my own accord and i don't need someone to push another faith on me every 3 days. So i think that sums it up again i do apoligize....but i better explained so yah...I didn't say i hated them i actually i didnt say i hated anyone....i didnt pic apart your religion...

I read more of the posts, and decided to write more.

KIKI: I do know that in the Bible it says to spread God's word, but as has been told, the way that some people do it is well... annoying. In a way, it is forcing religion on people, and God never said "Stuff the Bible down people's throats!"

FZA: Just because you don't believe in Hell, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If I didn't believe Lansing, Michigan was a real place, that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

On that note, I would like to say this: If someone doesn't believe in God, that doesn't make Him not exist. Now, take that however you want (I won't be surprised if someone is offended) but it's true. I have talked to several non-believers, and they all have said, "I don't have to worry about God. I don't believe in Him." Everyone falls under His judgement, whether you think you do or not.

Those who know me a little in here know i like a good old palaver concerning God/religion, and yes yeah i get all riled up about it and start ranting.

I got here late and the ranting has already begun, so i feel cheated and robbed, and like the good little reaction mind that i am, i'll..react by reflecting.

Religion is a creation, this is a fact. It was created by people for people, not for any God, in the same way education was originally passed from person to person without any organisations getting involved. I believe that it's ridiculously easy to bash religion, to look at the history of death that follows along with almost every sect and division and use it as a reason to not believe.

Or as has been happening here, to attempt to argue against the faith of others. Thing of it is, the nasty side of say, Christianity was almost forced upon common people like you and I. The crusades weren't started by a bunch of farmers and fishermen, it was the organised religious leaders who had political and econimic aspirations who brainwashed and fear injected the common good hard working folk into killing thousands of their fellow humans.

I'm getting a bit vague here and it's very late where i am [4am]

Bottom line for me, i admire people of faith, the history of most religions is disgusting, no one is totally right, tolerance and respect would improve the insight of every religious and non religious person....it is a psychological fact [ you can look it up] that punishing or angering someone into changing is only temporary, and they will revert back to their old ways as soon as your influence is gone. What this means to everyone in here who is getting flamed up is that you feel your point of view is the correct one. Maybe it is, but know this to be tue, you will never, and i mean never, enlighten anyone to lasting change with anger..it just doesn't work....people get defensive or just as angry as you...which means you are wasting your time..which is a sin methinks.

Speak your truth as you will, but if you really want to educate people as to the nature of your own faith..show them the beauty of it and not the very hate they use as a tool to point out it's flaws.

Wow....right off to bed for me.....

    Blessed be.
