Why do looads of people..

Use photos of drawings or other people?? Are they camera shy or something lol???

I used Milo Ventimiglia from Heroes because it was my favorite television show and he was my favorite character. It's what I feel is my choice as it reflected my personality. I use the picture of Hayley at the moment because she is what I would like to be: A talented singer, a gifted song writer, full of energy.

I would rather nobody recognise me,
many of my poems are depressing and a true life experence for me and nobody in my town know so i am going to keep it that way. plus icons show more about you than just your face would.

Well four things actually:

1) To protect yourself from the weirdos out there, there are many people who'll use your picture to imitate as either you or someone else... Its funny seeing as one such case is in this very hallowed halls of pnq..

2) People are generally self concious of their appearance...

3) They already have an outlet to show their pics, like myspace or photobucket...

4) There are a lot of paedophiles out there, just showing your picture allows them to pick those they are attracted to and begin grooming their potential victims... The sad thing is these paedophiles can pretend to be younger than they actually are by stealing pics, and posing as a child or teenager...

Because I don't want to show myself on the internet.

I personally don't think childrens photos should be posted as a privacy or a security issue, really.

Same for underage people. You never know who is out there or watching.

Lawl, living is in a bubble isn't healthy at all. Everyone is so paranoid these days. Yes, my picture online is going to get me raped by an old man. And walking outside on a sunny day is going to get my struck by lighting.

From what I've heard some people are very subconcious about their appearance or don't want people recognizing them in their town or state for their poetry. Personally I believe I'm the only one from my city who even uses this site, so I feel free to put my face out there, the tye die is just there to brighten up everyone's day!

I don't want people looking at my face and judging just by that (cause you know they will). I'd rather let them read the poery and focus on that.

I don't have a picture for one simple reason.

I'm dirt poor and I'm saving up for a PA system, a motorcycle, and a little spending money for the things and people I love.

Well, that's American justice for you. That has nothing to do with being careful of a pedophile or rapist. The dad is obviously a tool and she should appeal the outcome.
