Sociopathetic xLolax: To be completly honest I would have to say William Shakespeare, for he is the only poet I truly know.

Soso: I have many favorite actresses, but I'd have to say my most favorite is Emmy Rossum (I think I spelled her name right) She is very beautiful and has a beautiful voice, plus she is my age.

My favorite movie would have to be Cassablanca. It is a classic and a great story. I also like the song that Sam plays in it (As Time Goes By)

I do read a lot, however; I don't read novels, I mostly read buisness books, therefore I really don't have a favorite author.

Joe, If you were President, how would you better our country and World?

  • Beautiful Chaos

Same question I posed to Bob lol

If you could live one week as another person, anyone in the world, in any period of time who would it be and why?

  • Italian Stallion

Edward D Zurovec: To be completly honest I don't follow politics all that close. I'll pay attention here and there, but only when I really feel the need. But anyways that's besides the point.

If I were President, I would cut-taxes down from what they are now, the expenses that the Middle-class pays is out of range compaired to what the Upper or Lower class pay. Second of all, I'd try to make it completly fair for everyone regardless of how much money one' has. Depending on income and what you buy etc. the person would be taxed the 6% sales tax I believe it is, and the federal taxes, state taxes etc. Everything would be equal for each state, depending on the style of living and the income produced.

Next, I would take a certian percentage of the tax (not medicare) and provide services to the elders that need medications. All Money that is put into this fund would be to support generation from generation.

Social Security is a big deal now-a-days, people my age are paying and paying and paying for this, and in return when it is our time to collect, the well will be dry since we had to provide the moeny for all the baby boomers. So in return I would slighty raise social security for it is at about 10% now if I am not mistaken. I'd probally raise it to 15% which isn't much, but it will sure help, and that extra 5% I would put in a fund and invest it, to make more money to help the cause of paying the baby boomers off and still having money for the next generation.

I'd also withdrawl from the war in Iraq, we went there for one reason really and that was oil, they backed it up with the excuse that they had biological wepons, etc. etc. Withdrawing from the war would not only save us money as a nation, but also help save soldiers lives.

There is so much more, I can go on and on. But that would take forever since I would be in "office" for years, what one' can do over many years is a lot. What one' (myself) can type in a short amount of time limited.

Beautiful Chaos: I would have to say Steven Speilberg, the man is a genius when it comes to making movies. He has made so many classic movies from Star Wars to Indiana Jones, you name the mans done it.

The reason behind the reason I picked him is because I have a huge fasination with movie making. Ever since I was young, my brother and I would write scripts and making movies. I am also very into visual effects and video editing, which is why I chose him, his proffesion is an art. And if you haven't noticed I like almost everything art has to offer, drawing, music, video editing, photography, etc.

Wow, what a coincidence that you and Bob have the same thread. :)
Alright, here comes my question.. What was one of the hardest times in your life so far, who/what was one of the most imporatnt people/things that helped you get through it and how did he/she/it help?

    Hope you understood that^

Viola xWriteItOutLoudx: One of the hardest times in my life was when I lost one of my best friends over a fight that our parents had. My dog (who has passed away in 2006) really helped me through it. He was the only one I could really turn to since my parents didn't really like him. He helped me cope with the pain and the feeling I had deep within. After all they say dogs are a mans best friend.

The Missing Frame: This question is two-sided in my opinion, half of my wants to say yes, the other wants to say no. I have and I haven't is what it really comes down to. But Overall I'd have to say No to this question, I am who I am, and if one' doesn't like me for who I am, then that's their problem, not mine.

I am doing fine, thank you for asking. I just got home from a Food and Beverage Service Training for Management (Which I also have all day tommorow as well)

Ryan: Nice to see you are still active Ryan. Well, we all have to grow up sometime, wheather or not it be at an earlier age, or older.

Life will smack you in the face like a two by four if you are not prepaired for it. Take life as it comes, and enjoy the rollercoaster ride, for we all have ups and downs.

    Heya: My question:

If you had to, would you rather lose your dominant arm, or dominant leg?

  • Italian Stallion

Sociopathetic xLolax: I'd rather lose my dominant arm, for it is easier for one' to learn how to use the oposite arm rather than learning to balance and walk/run, etc. with one leg.

Bob: "seriously....do you think people should have to pay income tax on their paychecks..."

Was that a question, or just a statement?

Johnny: Thank you for the correction, And as you said, he was on the backend of it though which Is what I was most likely thinking of at the time. I've been so busy lately that I can't think straight...lol

Is it normal for my dad [who is currently married to my mom] to be watching porn, and for me being extremely freaked out by that?

  • Paralyzed

If you could have lived in any other time period, which would it be and why?

  • Italian Stallion

Bob: Absolutly. Without tax, this country or any other country for this matter, would not be able to survive (in my opinion and that's just what it is, and nothing else.)

How do you expect the government to run? OR How do you expect the government to pay for special programs to be implemented?

It is what it is, and it's been like that for a long time, I think there is no need to tamper with such.

  • Italian Stallion

Firexdancerxga briella: First of all and utmost, how do you even now this at your age? Does your mother know about this?

And to answer your question, yes it is normal for you to be freaked out by such actions from your father. It can potentioally damage/mentally scar you in many ways (same as kids walking in on parents having sexual intercourse)

As for your father watching such movies, it is normal and isn't. Wheather or not it is normal within a household, I wouldn't be able to tell you, for I am not aware of such statistics.

However, if you feel uncomfortable with this going on, take your mother aside and talk with her, or even your father, and tell them that you are not comfortable with him watching such movies.

  • Italian Stallion

ContradictingThoughts: To answer you question, I'd have to lie by saying I could actually answer it. Your question is one that only you can decide and you only.

For me to tell you to wait or not is not my buisness, nor is it anyone elses in my opinion. Only you can decifer if it is love or not, not anyone else.

  • Italian Stallion

Paralyzed: Assuming you don't mean this time period, I would have to say medieval times (Middle Ages) for it was one of the major time periods when many famous artists lived as well as having major art movements.

If you didn't know already, I am very big into art, I love drawing, painting, ink and pen, etc. Therefore, that's the reason I picked that time period.

Well Joe: how I found out about it was that a few weeks ago, I was typing in the url of this site, and accidentally clicked on a different site in the history that came up as I was doing that. The site I clicked on turned out to be a porn site, and some video started playing. Scared me to death. But...I thought that maybe my dad had just clicked on some link on a page accidentally, and that he hadn't gone on there purposefully.
Then, about last week, my dad had a soccer game, and so he took me to it and left his phone with me.
I wanted to record him playing, so I went to the video on the phone, but since the phone's memory was apparently full, it just showed me all the different pictures of the previous videos that had been taken. The first two being, porn videos.
I know there is no way to have something like that on your phone, unless you purposefully put it there, so that's how I figured it out I suppose.

And answering your second question, I don't even know if my mom knows about this, I haven't brought up the subject with her or my dad, since apparently it's something I am not supposed to know.
So I realy just don't know what to do.

Haha. Is that even understandable? I'm sorta confused right now so I might just sort of be going off on long tangents.

  • Italian Stallion

Firexdancerxga briella: Well there are a few things you can do:

    1) You can like I said above, talk to your mother or father about the matter.

    2) You can ignore it, and pretend you never found out.

3)You can clear the history on your computer so you don't accidently go to another website of that nature.

And that is all I can really think of at the moment, If you feel uncomfortable, the bottom line is you should tell someone about the problem.

If you have anymore concerns on this topic, please feel free to ask me questions via PM.

    K.
    Thanks. :]

Yea, I normally clear my history anyway, I'm not supposed to be writing poetry on here, I just hadn't cleared it yet that one day.
I probably will just ignore it, I don't want to have to bring it up with anyone and cause some sort of horrible argument in my family. Idk...

    Joe,

You work two jobs and so alot of extensive work for our loving PnQ site. How do you manage your time and still have time for yourself as well?

Where would you say that you gained most of your training and ability to manage your time so well while spreading yourself into multiple projects?

  • Italian Stallion

Sherry: Yes, I currently work two jobs, at an Insurance Company and an Amusement Park. I am currently part-time at the Amusement Park for we are not currently open for the season as of yet. And I work Full-time at the Insurance Company at the moment. Come May, I will be working Full-time at both Jobs (no days off, between both jobs I'll be working 100 hour weeks)

To answer your question I would have to lie if I said I have a lot of time for myself, because I don't. But in most cases, I wake-up around 7 goto work till 5 (which will change in May, I'll have almost no time to myself), and then work on my website, this website, and anything else that needs to be done that deals with some type of work. After that, I will relax by writting, playing piano, watching a movie, etc. But that usually ends up with me passing out from being so tired.

I would have to say I gained my knowledge on how to manage time when I was in high school. I was in a club called, US F.I.R.S.T. Robotics, we had been given a task and would have to build a robot within a 6 week time period. I was the team captian, so I had a lot over my sholders to look over. I had the team, the drawings, the events, the money, etc. And of course on top of all that I had my regular classes I had to deal with. So from beinging in that club, it really made me mange my time better, and deal with multipule tasks at once.

My 16 y/o son is into computers and coding. I have tried to explain to him that I do not understand it all; yet, he keeps insisting that I understand what he talking about.

This is actually a two part question

    1. As a parent how can I encourage him to proceed with computers (like I want) even though I do not understand the technical aspects nor care too?

    2. How do I help him decide which path he should take with computers? He wants all.. IT Specialist, Web Developer, and Programming... but he can only select one for school.

  • Italian Stallion

Sherry: Give him feedback of how you see him progressing and how you want him to keep progressing and learning what he enjoys to do.

Kids love feedback, give them a compliment and they are happy, give them critisim and they usually aren't to happy unless it deals with making something better and he asks for advice.

From my aspect and knowledge on this stuff, I would advice him to take the programing class. Programming is a mojor step towards IT and web development. As I like to call it, it is the base of the foundation.

If he wants to learn about web development, there are many websites out there that will teach you the basics if you just take the time to read. (PM me and I can give you some links)

IT work involves many different aspects of computer technology. It involves many different things such as programming, knowledge of certian programs, databases, different languages (computer languages), servers, etc.

P.S. This thread has now reached it's limit and will now be locked.
