Joe, would you want a girl to tell you they like you or have them show you they like you?

  • Italian Stallion

AblissfulDREAM ER: Well in all honesty, I'd want a little of both. But if I had to choose, I would have to say having them show me that they like me.

    Actions are stronger than words.

P.S. Be kind, Be Loving, But most of all be yourself, and you can achieve anything in life.

In what ways would you like a girl to show you theyre interested?

  • Italian Stallion

AblissfulDREAM ER: There are many ways for one' to show interest in another.

    1) You can talk to them and hang out with them and their friends.

    2) Write them a letter.

    3) Write a poem

    4) Write a song with music

    5) Express your feelings for them through gestures (as I mentioned above actions are strong than words)

    6) And of course tell them that you like them.

Those are just to name a few, I am sure there are many other ways, but none are comming to my head at the moment.

Sociopathetic xLolax: Age, height, looks, etc. mean nothing when it comes to dreams.

Here are two quotes from one of the brightest man who has ever lived life to the fullest in my opinion and that man is Walt Disney. So here are the two quotes:

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them."

"When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable."

I want you to read those two quotes, and ponder on what he is talking about. In reality, if you think about it, he is saying... why think of all the negitives that can happen? Why not think of positive aspects of what can happen if you pursue your dreams.

Think and dream big, and great things will happen. It is all about your mind-set, and how confident you are about actually moving foward with the process of making your dreams come true.

Have you given serious thought to getting married someday and starting a family of your own?

If so, what are some goals you would like to achieve first?

What are some traditions that you would like to carry on and pass down to your own children?

What are some new traditions that you might start with your family?

  • Italian Stallion

Sherry: Yes I have thought about it before and I absolutly want to get married someday and have kids.

I don't think I would be able to survive life without someone with me by my side. Life without love is nothing in my opinion, we would not be here if it where not for love.

Well I'd like to finish school and get my degree first. Then I'd like to land a well paying job so I can actually raise and take care of a family. Then I'd like to go traveling with friends maybe.

Traditions? Well I have a lot being Italian. We usually celebrate all the holidays together as a family. When it is Christmas we eat fish. We get together as a family just to get together and see everyone (which I find to be rare now-a-days) And there are many more I am sure taht I am forgeting, I just can't think at the moment, my mind went blank.

New traditions? Well I can't really say for new traditions come along as you meet people and learn new stuff and how their family has their traditions. Being single I haven't really had the chance to meet a lot of different families besides my friends.

Who is your favorite painter? Poet? Musician? And why do you like each one?

  • Italian Stallion

Sam: Ok, time to get busy and start typing like crazy...lol

My first all time Favorite movie would have to be Casablanca. The movie has a famous actor by the name of Humphy Bogart in it. I like the movie because it is a mixture of different genres, it is a love story mixed in with drama and a few others. Ever here the line, "Here's looking at you kid" well this is the movie it came from.

My number two pick would have to be The Phantom of The Opera. The movie was well made and has very nice songs in it. Plus Emmy Rossum (I think I spelled her last name correct) is beautiful and my age...lol

Number three would have to be Life is beautiful. It is a foriegn film (Italian) and the messege that this story has is excellent I feel. It is so deep and heartfelt. Wonderful Movie all around.

My fouth pick would be Gone with the wind. A very well know classic with Clark Gable. Has one of the most famous quotes of all time, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a dam!"

And last but not least, Doctor Zhivago. Another classic in my opinion. Although very long, the story was excellent. The mandolin playing was beautiful as well. Outstanding movie in my opinion.

There are many others that I enjoied watching, but those are just to name a few.

Beautiful Chaos: Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni (I think I spelled his name right...lol) is my favorite painter, he is also know as just Michelangelo. I like him because he is a lot like me in many ways, he is diversified in general art. He was a poet which many do not know about him, an enginner which I learned a lot about when in High School, he was a sculpter which I also have done and enjoied, and he was an architect which I have also done through out the years (not so much making drawings, but re-building structures) Overall I like him, he is Italian like myself, and his paintings where out of this world and absolutly beautiful.

My Favorite Poet would have to be William Shakespear, for he is the only real poet that I know. His work is beautiful and the way that he thought was amazing. He has not only done poetry, but he's also written plays such as Romeo and Juliet (which is very famous and I tend to enjoy if done correctly) Other than that I can't really tell you a whole lot about him for I've never really studied about him.

And my favorite Musician (if you mean someone who plays an instrument) would have to be Robert Schumann. His music was amazing and not to mention very well written. I like him because well I play piano myself, I've been playing for about 14 years now. Not only that, he was one of the most famous romantic composers of that time, and if you know me well enough, I am very big into romance. Plus he wrote one of my favorite songs on the piano which is, "The Wild Horseman"

My Favorite Musician (if you are talking about a singer) would have to be Kenny Chesney. He is very laid back and a lot like me. He likes the warm weather as well as the strong and meaningful songs. He loves cut-off shirt (like myself) and he plays the guitar (also like myself) One of my favorite songs by him is, "When the Sun Goes Down"

Again, these are just a few of my Favorites, there are many other Artists out there that I truly love, Leonardo Da Vinci, Bach, Mozzart, Josh Groban, Tim Mcgraw, etc.

    Joe,

What are your thoughts on the presidential elections and primaries?

What do you think about the candidates (each one) and do you think that there is a chance we can see Clinton/Obama both on the Nov. ballet?

Also... If you could pick anyone to be president (not necc a candidate) who would you pick?

  • Italian Stallion

Sherry: To be completely honest, I am not going to be able to answer this very well since I don't really follow all of that. But I will try my best to answer your questions.

Well this year I feel we don't have a very good group to pick from. I personally don't like anyone that is running this year.

I feel like I'm back in school learning about this stuff as I try to answer your questions about the elections and primaries...lol But seriously I have no clue where to even begin. I haven't really been watching the primaries closely so I wouldn't know.

Well I think I summed up what I thought about the candidates pretty well above, I don like any of them...lol But to answer your question, here I go.

John McCain - In all due respect I hate the guy, he is doing the samething he did last time by entering the race at a later date, and that is messing everything up, He knows he won't win, so why waste his money to campiagn to just take votes away? I find it pointless.

Barack Obama - I find him to be over-confident in himself, at one point if I recall, he said something about Macain and Hillary not having the kind of knowledge about the world that he had. Although I dislike the guy just like the other two, I believe he will end up winning in the end.

Hillary Rodham Clinton - I find Hillary to be very cocky. All she cares about is her and her only, she could careless how she would win. It is all about her image and not about America in my opinion. I down right don't like her.

Do I think there is a chance to see both of them on the ballet? Of course I do, don't underestimate the impossible, anything is possible.

Anyone? Well I'd pick myself of course...lol But seriously I have no idea who I would choose, that is something I would have to ponder over for awhile.

What is your opinion of gays/lesbian/bisexuals?
Do you think that people are truely born that way?
Do you believe that gay marrige should be legal?
Why do you think so many people have a porblem with it?

  • Italian Stallion

Forever Broken: I could careless what a person is, a person is a person regardless of what their sexual preferance is. As long as that individual knows their boundaries and limits it doesn't bother me that there are people out there like that. What does bother me, however; is the fact that God (in almost all religions, and is my personal belief and opinion) did not intend for it to be that way. There are males and females on this planet for a reason, and it is not to make the same gender mate with the same gender. What was intended was for Females and Males to Mate to create offspring.

Were they born that way? I don't think so. I think it all depends on the way the person was brought up and their general environment/surroundings.

I do not believe it should be legal. In my opinion (and that's just what it is and nothing more) I find it to be very wrong and uterly discusting.

Well many people I believe have problems with it because, people who choose to be that way don't know their limits and or boundaries (this goes back to what I was saying above). They generally like to be very open about it (when out of the closet) in public, and I think that throws people off very much.

For a start there are still many countries in the world where homosexulaity is illegal. It is estimated that approximately ten percent of the U.S. population or 25 million people are homosexual. There is an extimated Population of 301,139,947 people in the US.

You do the Math, that is 276,139,947 people in the US alone that are not homosexual compared to 25,000,000 that are homosexual. Don't you think if God (again my belief and nothing more) intended it to be this way, then the numbers would be a lot higher? That's just my opinion on this.

  • Noir

I do not believe it should be legal. In my opinion (and that's just what it is and nothing more) I find it to be very wrong and uterly discusting."

You know I thought we lived in a progressive society, where people still didn't think this way, but again, a person can be brainwashed under the banner of religion.

  • Italian Stallion

Noir: Do you have a question to pose to me? If not then leave your comments to yourself please.

And to touch base on what you said Noir, I am very open to such acts, like I said in my above post, I could careless what your sexual preferance is or anyone elses for that matter, it is what it is, and I nor anyone else can really change that.

Now for the section of text you pulled from my post, I said just what I felt, "In my opinion" and that's all it was.

Do I go and hide when confronted by a homosexual? NO. Do I turn away when I see two people of that orientation? Maybe, depends what they are doing.

Like I said before, it doesn't bother me as long as they know their boundaries and limits outside of their personal home oriented life (same goes for straight people).

If you haven't noticed I don't like PDOA (Public Display Of Affection) wheather it be a homosexual or a Straight person. Ok, so you might hold hands, big deal, but making out in public I just don't understand the need.

I'll say it again, THIS IS ALL JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION.

  • Noir

Firstly Joe, you stated that you dislike a person who's homosexual to get married the same way a hetrosexual person would, you stated that you found it disgusting and wrong with an extra "very" in it.

Now it may be your opinion, and you're entitled to that, however, thinking that one certain group shouldn't be allowed to have the right to get married as any other person would...Is a wrong way of thinking...

I would normally laugh or insult your way of thinking which is heavily based on religious views. But I think that you need time to actually understand that what you said about an entire group of people was very close minded...

Seeing as this is Ask Joe, let me ask you: Do you really think what you said wasn't hurtful to certain individuals?

  • Italian Stallion

Noir: Of course it can be hurtful to certain individuals, does that change my mind of thought? Not one bit. It is what it is and it's my opinion.

People know that they are getting an answer based on my opinion when they type a question to ask me. If they feel a certain way, it's not my fault by all means, they know what they are getting into when they enter my thread and that is "pure opinion stated answers from myself"

I'll say this again, it was only my opinion which I am entitled too, just as you are entitled to judge my way of thinking. IT IS LIFE, GET OVER IT.

Now I pose to you a question, which I don't want answered here (PM me or start another thread to debate) But, in all honesty can you sit there and ask me, "Do you really think what you said wasn't hurtful to certain individuals?" When you almost everyday say/type something that can potentioally hurt someone in a mental or emotional aspect?

I will not debate this any further with you Noir, for this is strictly a Ask and receive type thread. If you want to debate by all means PM me or start a thread on the subject else where.

I asked for his opinion and wether you think it is biast or not he answered in the way I was hoping he would and that is honestly. i appreciate your efforts to prove a point but arguing isn't going to solve anything. words are words and no matter how you use them they won't change peoples opinions. only they themselves can do that. once again im sorry for the trouble

    Joe,

What are you thoughts on teens these days acting so promiscuous? Do you think that our society today accepts teens having sexual relations at younger ages as "normal" and "ok"?

  • Italian Stallion

Sherry: Now-a-days more than usual teens are laid back and act promiscuous, due to the simple fact of what they see and or hear. How many movies have sexual gestures and or sex in it? How many times have you seen commericals or series on TV that have sex affilated with it in some way, shape or form? Even on the raido, internet, stores, it is everywhere. You can't get away from it.

Have you ever heard, "Sex sells." Well look around at society today, that is all they are trying to sell. Now I don't just blame the media, I also blame the parents, for letting their teens watch to such movies at such a young age. I blame them for letting their children listen to inappropiate music at such a young age, use the internet (without security on certian sites), and so much more.

Back when I was a kid, we didn't have the internet yet (or at least it wasn't very big at the time), we didn't have cable tv (and when we did it was black and white and you had to change the channels by turning the knob on the tv), the raido wasn't filled with all different types of music, it was pretty general back then (almost all radio stations played the same stuff). Movies wheren't all about, "sex sells" they actually had a decent story line (even though the effects and way it was filmed was just ok).

What I am trying to get at is, now-a-days kids are more likely to act that way due to all of their surroundings, what the see and what they hear. How they where brought up has a big part in this as well I feel.

Do people think it is normal or ok in todays society? I would have to say yes they do feel that way for the most part. I mean in all due respect, look at what society as a whole is giving these kids, these teens, to watch and or listen too, it's all about sex, drugs, etc. No wonder todays society is messed-up (no offence).

Now people my age, or older, might think differently, for I know I do. I feel it isn't ok at a such a young age to be influenced by what one' sees of hears in todays society. I don't watch much TV anymore except for the news for it is flooded with unwanted and unnessecary sex, language, and drugs.

All-in-all, I believe it depends on the generation and age of an individual and how they where raised, of what they might feel is acceptable and not acceptable.

The Tasteless: I would have to say Yoda from Star-Wars. Although old, he is very wise and always has the answers usually. He is fast and can defeat (for the most part) almost anyone else. All-in-all he is a fasinating character, and his knowledge deff. shows.

  • Italian Stallion

Ian: Well to be completly honest, I don't read a whole lot of novels, I most read business books. So in regards to that, I would have to say the most inspirational and meaningful book I've read is, "The Law of Success in Sixteen Lessons" by Napoleon Hill. If you or anyone else gets the chance I highly recommend reading it (but beware it is extreamly long)

The reason this was so inspirational and meaningful to me was because of the simple fact that I am learning a whole lot about Business (which I am going to school for) and how the brain works and thinks to generate different responces to gain knowledge and or financial freedom.

Again a wonderful book, that I categorize as a must read if you are into reading indepth books.

What do you look for in love? What are some things that excite you and some things that you dislike? (ex: hugs & jelousy)

  • Italian Stallion

Sherry: Ok, I am going to answer a lot more than what you asked about the subject because I feel like it.

I personally look for someone who is understanding, caring and loves me for who I am as well as my friends. There are many other qualities such as honesty, trust, and so forth.

What excites me? Oh lord, to answer that question I might get in trouble...lol

Dislikes? I would have to say cheating, lieing, not being trusted, etc.

Now from my knowledge on relationships, perhaps the most important thing that I've learned is that different people have different notions of love. Love, quite simply, has different meanings. Some people toss the word "love" around as casually as the word "cool," or some other word that conveniently seems to fit into nearly every other sentence. Some hold it in reserve, treating the word itself with a certain degree of respect, only to be spoken in the most serious and personally involved context imaginable. Still, others shun the word almost entirely, treating it as if it's something that's meant exclusively for the foolhardy or young and rambunctious.

I suspect that time has changed and evolved the majority notion of love, and that, more specifically, people of the younger generations are mostly more casual with the word, not fully comprehending it's truest meaning or its absolute potential. This suspicion (it is merely that), is based on my observation of relationships between friends of mine over the years.

Maybe it is just the people that I have observed, mostly single people which are the type that go out to clubs, parties, and sports centers to meet women/men. Sometimes they'll have casual sex with the women/men they meet and that'll be it. Sometimes they'll date for a while and when the sex gets boring or they find something "better," they break up and repeat the process. This seems to be the typical process for finding a companion today.

I have a theory. My theory is that everyone has their own unique perspective on love. But each perspective can be categorized, and in order for any relationship to work out ("work out" as in, result in eventual marriage and last until death due our part), both participants must be in the same category when it comes to their perspective on love. Now, obviously there are other factors that might cause a relationship to fail, but this is one of the few factors that I believe applies to everyone.

Now I want you to Describe sad...you can't.

    Describe happy...you can't.

It is the same with love...you can't describe it.

Love is a feeling, everyone has different feelings, you can't describe how someone feels, for you can't tell them how they feel.

  • Sherry Lynn

What inspires you to write? Where do you come up with ideas on your poems?

  • Italian Stallion

Sherry: Inspiration comes from the heart, I love writting and it is what I simply do when I get the time.

What inspires me to write? Well whatever I am thinking about usually. If I am thinking of love or my personal love life, that is usually what will inspire me. If I am sad or down, I'll usually write something that is sad due to the nature of the my personal feelings.

It is all about what I feel that inspires me usually. If it isn't based on my feelings then usually it is based on something I have previously read or seen (wheather it be a movie or in the newspaper).

Now to answer your second question is a little more complex for myself to answer, for I get ideas from so many different things in life (again wheather it be from a movie, tv, news, newspaper, magazine, etc.).

But usually my ideas come from my own personal life, a lot of what I tend to write about is based on my life and what is true to it. If it isn't a true story based on my life it is based on a friends or a person that I randomly saw while I was out and about.

Ideas come from everywhere, but mostly it's just about my life. Hard to tell all this emotion comes from one guy's life, but in most instinces it does.

What are your thoughts on Universal Health Care? Do you think it should be mandatory that everyone have health insurance? Why or why not?

  • Italian Stallion

Sherry: Oh boy just what I want to answer a question about Health care (if you guys didn't know I work for an Health Insurance Comapny)

Anyways, to the question I go:

Well my thoughts on the subject are simply this: I do think that everyone should be supported or have access to sometype of Health Care, many do not have the money to get such care (yes, even in America)

Bottom line is, why should we wait for support from such progams as American Idol Gives Back, or any other donation type organization? Why not start now, with us and the people who truly need help and make a difference. Every bit helps, why doesn't the government give a little (like the big organizations do) to help the American public instead of sending troops overseas to fight wars that aren't ours? Does any of this make sense? Not to me.

Should it be mandatory? I think it shouldn't for not everyone can afford it, but I do believe that we should give ways to people to access help when needed even if they don't have Insurance. After all we are all human beings, why should one be treat differently from anyone else?

Without people in the world, there will be no world, so why not help those in need? It blows my mind what one' (or even the world) would do just to prioritize their life over another human being or beings when we should all be equal in my perspective. We are all Human and everyones life has a reason, I don't care the race, color or what you look like.
