Alright, my boyfriend lives in Mexico and is going to school there and I'm planning on going down this year myself to be with with him but I've never been there and was wondering if any of you have visited or live there and what you could tell me lol I'm a bit nervous about going down and want to know as much as I can before I go there. |

Umm i've lived there for a couple of years, and all i can tell u is not to be scared and to pick up some of the language. that would help. i think ppl are generally nice, but do be careful..its a great place, but u kinda do need to get ome of the language, even if alot og words are cognates...that would help... |

It depends on where at in mexico the bigger cities that ppl know of are that bad like cancun and those places but if its like in Juarez then its jus a bunch of filth and dead things lying around a bunch of graftti and alot of ppl drink down there they sit on the street sell stuff the bigger cities arent bad at all they have jobs and fast food places i mean they still have homeless ppl but the bigger cities have more money and they are jus like any other town wit fast food and nice homes but the poor places are some where where you dont want to see lol cause its sad and its nothing like the cities no fast food no nothing hardly any jobs nothing like that so the bigger cities are good but the small poor towns are so good lol hopefully that helps you out nemore ? jus message me trust me cause i kno i visited down there for a whole summer lol |

Thank you Waiting For Him, yes that did help :) I'm going to Monterrey so its a pretty big city and my boyfriend is coming up to pick me up and take me down since he lives there but I'm kinda trying to figure out what to expect lol He lives down there and has a lot of his life so its kinda hard for him to explain things the way I want since it's his home town if that makes sense :P I'm trying to pick up some of the language and teach myself but I can't speak it, I can read a bit of Spanish and write a tiny bit of it though, luckily he's patient with me and works with me on it lol Guess I'm just nervous and want to know as much as I can lol And yes, I know they like to drink down there but I know theres more to Mexico then drinking and sleeping and sunburns lol I'm just looking for people that can give me some pointers and advice since reading about it isn't the same as first hand people lol Thank you everyone that posted, you all have helped :) |
