The worst news ever!

I live in Grand rapids, Michigan, and about a week ago one of my closest friends was shot and killed at a local car wash. Now, here's what really pisses me off: Some ppl feel sorry for the family while others say things like, "he deserved it because he was involved with drugs." No innocent person derserves to get shot and killed. He was 18, about to graduate and go off to college. He had his whole life ahead of him, then one asshole had to take that away from him. Now, my reson for this post is to ask everyone on this site if they had a loved one, friend, etc who was tasken away too soon, or were they killed innocently. RIP Kenny Rodriguez. <3

Sick. completely sick. poor boy. he was just a baby as well. i feel really sorry for everyone who knew and loved him.

and i also find it disgusting that some lifeless piece of scum can take away an angel.

Probably because if you killed all the drugies losts of people would die!

Um... i havnt lost people... but last year i lost 3 dogs in 2 terms...
one from posining
one for old age
and one from getting run over...

the one from posining was the worst because. i was up stairs in my paretns room on the comp and then i here my dog screaming and crying and making weird noises so i went out of my parents room and they told me to go back in... mum and dad went down stairs to my dog and had to watch him die... theres was nothing they could do.... he was having a fit... i heard him die which was bad enough... but im glad i didnt see it!

I've lost a lot of people. Four grandparents (one was a step-grandparents but a grandparent all the same), my father, and several friends. On friend died two months from his sixteenth birthday. I still remember it clear as day...

No i haven't lost someone who is close to me luckily enough, so i have no idea what it feels like.

Tuesday night one of my classmates was killed in a car accident. not the same as being shot, but he was 17 and still so young. there were 4 others in the car. 1 has been in a coma and in serious condition. 2 broke their hips/pelvis's. and one got away w/ minor injuries..

and then august 27th, 2007 my friend and crush died in a drunk driving accident as well. he was 18 and had just graduated high school and had already started college. he was going to be a lawyer. he did more good in the world in his short life then many adults ever have done.

its tragic...

Drugs should be legal and you wouldn't have this problem.

I think you have too big of a heart courtney, because honestly, if they're a pack of low life scum who shot him and it didn't mean a thing to them, they most likely won't think about it at all. unless they are in there for life without parol(e)? in which case, i understand why you kept them alive.

Well, at least most of em wouldn't be over drugs now. Would they? Unless the government taxed them to death. Kinda like the New York Smokes Black Market... :)
My point is 1.5 million people are jailed every year for the US Government to bring in drugs and arrest people. And then tax the people. I find that extremly pointless? Do you not?

Well, Drugs were going to be legal here in Canada. We're currently allowed to carry 1.37 grams of weed on your person. But because of pressure from the American government and the DEA. We were forced to not pass our legalization of drugs. They also put away one of our best spokes persons for weed for life. In the States :)

Not really "drugs" a drug, marijuana, which I don't really have a problem with, I think it is less destructive than alcohol, but then again that depends on whose hands you are putting it in.

I don't think legalization of drugs would stop all drug related shootings.

My friend bobby bannack overdosed a while ago in january....it sucks
