For me or not for me?

My class had this assignment to write a paper on a poem by a famous poet, and then write our own poem for extra credit. So, I just had to read my friend's poem (because I knew that he'd be up for the extra credit, and I wanted to know what he had written about). I almost cried after reading it because it was one of the most beautiful and passionate love poems I've read in a very long time. I have the suspision that he wrote it for me because of the subtle hints in the actual poem, and the fact that my friends have thought he liked me since the beginning of the school year. But the thing is, I don't like him "that way," so I'd be leading him on by asking who it was for (even if it wasn't for me). I'm kinda worried that he'll ask me out, for the reason that I dont want a boyfriend at this point in my life, and I really dont want to hurt him by saying that I only want to be his friend.
But I could just act like I never read it, and let it go, which I'll more than likely do. . . . . . .

I think u shud just let it go. and if he does ask u out then just tell him politely that u dont like him that way.

The answer is so obvious it's not even funny.

I don't know why I asked. Maybe I thought it would be better in writing

MAYBE, if u want him to take the hint and NOT ask you out, drop hints yourself that you don't want a boyfriend. be like "thank gawd i dont have a boyfriend right now, becoz i might fail my exam" or something.
