Yeah prison.. lol never really seems good enough does it. 24 years of abuse can't be taken back just because he is fed in a grey cell.
and i doubt he will live much longer so he won't be in there for long. i cannot believe he has a wife? or did i read that wrong.

That's what i was wondering. i'm sure she must of buggered off and the dad replaced her? i don't know.

she must have been involved, they always act innocent at the beginning and turn out guilty :/

And the fear machine is hard at work. I feel sorry for those victims but there is nothing we or you can do about it. Real news is the fact the EU is banning culture. Like bagpipes? But no one ever wants to discuss that :)

  • limp

......lol ryan. that's because i never hear about stuff like that. mk? i know there is nothing i/anyone can do about it NOW, it's just a topic. if you wanna make one about bagpipes and culture you are free to do so, you just shouldn't come into this one and insult it because it's not something you want it to be.
i'm pretty sure no one else complained that they do not want to discuss it.

"His wife Rosemarie had allegedly not been aware of what was going on."

Bahahahahaha. How brutally stupid must the woman think the authorities are?

24 years living in a house with an accumulative 4 imprisoned human beings...and she knew nothing? You'd have to be a vegetable!

This kind of stuff hardly shocks me any more...it more so just adds to the huge pile of crap that has been building up since the beginning of time.

    Still disgusting, though.

It would be laughable if she wasn't involved, sarah. they usually deny it to try and get out of jail time and are caught, having been involved the whole time.

I wonder why some were locked down there with her, uni-sex, and some weren't. also prison is just never good enough for what they have done. torture sounds more appealing.

He has now admitted the kidnap and repeated rape of his daughter, and also admitted fathering 7 kids with her. The lunacy of this whole thing is that he was able to go undetected for so long.

The way the Austrian judicial system is run I wouldn't be surprised if he serves 10 years or so in prison and then gets moved to a nice comfy hospital ward, as he is already 73 years old.

What a pathetic waste of skin this guy really is!

  • limp

Yeah she was pretty much raped for 24 years, nice. and no doubt they will just give him a petty sentence and let him rest in peace because no one ever seems to believe in giving people what for, and that's all this man deserves.

It was on channel 4 this morning, he made her have like 7 kids and one of them was burnt as a baby :/

  • Pete

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about that. She had twins but one of them died due to complications at birth (giving birth in a dingy cellar maybe...) so the guy took it out of the cellar and burnt it.

I'm struggling to think of a punishment strong enough for this guy!

  • limp

I don't know if psychiatric help CAN help her now, she must be really screwed up.

at the end of the day, nothing really can. but you can always try. like electrocution gone wrong? People always say "don't stoop to their level", but are you really? they are insane, it's only humane to make them suffer.

Its funny yet sad at the same time. Who'd ever think that a paedophile would father his own grandchildren...

But then again he hasn't thought of using condoms when raping the poor girl. Personally I would love to see the punishment based on the irony "Sins of the father" placed on his tombstone when buried alive, but hey, we live in a world where paedophilia is pretty much unknown, and it does not favor creed, ethnic background or class...It pretty much can target anyone...

    So much for stranger danger...

He's 77 years old.. but what do we do with individuals like this?

    http://blog.syracuse.com/news/2007/11/ga_boys_ages_8_9_charged_with.html

What he did was wrong. But not uncommon. There is no punishment fit.

But in my eyes, the worst thing is that no one else ever noticed! I mean come on; you live in a house with your husband and you never wonder why you have to buy food for 9 persons instead of 5? At the age of 77, an average man doesn't have such a appetite any more. Even one of their neighbor noticed the man walking in with wheelbarrow full of food. Doesn't such a thing ring an alarm bell?

Yet I can understand the neighbors never noticed. If you don't have a close relationship with your neighbors you will just accept the fact that she disappeared.
For example; our neighbors have a handicapped girl. I only see her twice a year, at most. I would never notice if she’d disappear. But that's modern society for you.

I do not really care about the man's punishment, he will get what he deserves, but what intrigues me the most is his reasoning. Why would you lock your own daughter away in a cellar for 24 years?

"I do not really care about the man's punishment, he will get what he deserves"

The worst part about it: he probably won't get what he deserves.

He is facing 15 years in jail. Thats pathetic. Not suprised though considering it is Austria. I mean have you seen their jails? They are like hotels.

'But in my eyes, the worst thing is that no one else ever noticed! I mean come on; you live in a house with your husband and you never wonder why you have to buy food for 9 persons instead of 5?'

I think the children were living with their grandparents or fostered out or something.
I don't think they actually lived in the same house.

""I do not really care about the man's punishment, he will get what he deserves"

The worst part about it: he probably won't get what he deserves."

What you think he deserves does not have to be the opinion of the person who punishes him. Perhaps you, and a lot of other people, would like to see him death, or in prison for life.
The problem is that this man is mentally ill, probably more than his daughter and grandchildren. You can't place such a person in jail, simply because this person isn't approachable for his deeds.
Yes, they are wrong, and yes, he deserves a harsh punishment but how can you tell a mental ill he has done such a thing? It’s the same as sending a five year old to jail because he accidentally killed his little sister. You just can’t do that, the person won’t understand.
In my eyes the best punishment is to put him behind bars for the rest of his life, but in a mental hospital or such. And that's probably the punishments he will get.

No they lived in the same place. Three of the children lived with their grandparents (the man who has done all of this) and three lived with their mother in the basement. So they did live in the same house.
