Confused

Well my boyfriend broke up with me the other day and he said it was because he just doesn’t see it working out between us. He said that he still really cares about me and that he doesn’t want to be just friends but he just doesn’t see it working out, but now it feels like he doesn’t even care at all and that he’s just pushing me away and whenever I ask him to hang out he just forgets that we were even going to hang out and I just don’t understand why he’s being so careless towards me when he said he still really cared. Do you think the other reason he said that he still cared was so I wouldn’t feel so bad about the fact that he was breaking up with me?

He broke up with you because he said he doesn't see it working out and then he said he doesn't want to be just friends, that sounds like he doesn't plan on hanging with you anymore. Even if he does have feelings, it doesn't mean he is going to talk to you or hang out with you if he doesn't want to.

I dont think that he wants to stop talking to me completely because were still going to grad togther.
And i would go to grad with someone else and just stop contact with him but i dont want to be mean and be like oh ya im not going to grad with you anymore + i've tried not talking to him before and it just never works out the longest ive ever went without talking to him was 3 weeks and then i started to really miss him and he started to miss me to and then i felt horrible that he missed me too so i just had to talk to him again.

Thats kinda lame on his part... breaking up with you and then saying he still wants to be with you? what the hell?! if the dude doesn't see it working out then he shouldn't be giving you little false hope such as "ya it's over but hey! i still love you and wanna be with you but i just know its not gonna work out so ya it's over " i'd sock the fat thing in the stomach for that!
just tell the dude you just want to be friends with him and if he's got these little feelings for you tell him to get a shrink to cry to and if he's intending on being with you again then so be it, but for him to talk to you about that ^ is like hanging your heart on a thread over a pool of paranas!!! selfish much?

If he is being such a jerk about it then maybe you should just let it go i mean the same thing happened to me and it took about two months but i finally realized that he didn't want anything to do with me so i just let go and now i am happy and in love and everything is great. so just think about letting him go maybe it will make things better for you. let him see you happy then he will care
