Never done a contest before, but I'm going to try this.
I love the band "Within Temptation" so I want some poems done with their titles. I will pick a top 3 winners.

RULES:

3 people per title
2 titles per person
I would prefer poems that rhyme, but will accept free-verse if you wish for that.
Depending on how many people submit, contest will end on May 20th, 2008. I will PM every contestant with the winners the following day, and post the winners here on May 21st, 2008.

Grabbing the underground
a minute at a time.
Powers from the devil
continue to unwind.

Spinning in circles, my mind breaks in two.
Oh how I wish,
their was anything I could do.
trapped in a world

handed down by fate
trapped in the mind set
of nothing but hate.
My temptations take control,

As I ravage and roam
killing all those who oppose
for I am not alone.
God has forsaken

me and all bits of past
the reaper is my mission
for i am his at last.
Given no name

I run this world in shame...
My thoughts are nonexistent
for I wish not to cause pain...

Hand of Sorrow

Hand of sorrow,
Sands of time,
Find no reason,
See no rhyme.

Random acts,
Selfish deeds,
The world is full,
Of wants and needs.

Always searching,
Never found,
Secrets hidden,
In the ground.

The past is buried,
Deep inside,
Freeze the heart,
And bend the mind.

Tears of sorrow,
Joyous smiles,
Shouts of love,
Screamed denials.

Every feeling,
Felt in time,
Brings a reason,
To the rhyme.

Final Destination

A greater notion of pigmented glee.
For the task at hand,
I have to succeed.

Decisions upon embarked,
my mind is intoxicated.
I have to succeed.

Moments vivid like motion
everything is running so fast!
I have to succeed.

Everything is hectic
how can i continue down this path.
I HAVE TO SUCCEED.

Courage is slowly dropping,
but i pick up my feet and push past.
I have to succeed.

My determination is in doubt,
for i wish not to forecast.
I have to succeed.

Now that the trials are over,
i am home at last.

Final Destination....

Final Destination

Sweet poison is the last star
which evanesced, merging
with monochrome tomorrow.

Crawling from beauty of distal hallucination
sky nestled in its position,
previously leaking
as a nectar of godlike petal.

I am going with dawn
to jump off a bridge
and take off another layer
of dark habits from myself.

Paralysis is forced to
deviate in front demon of monotony's
liquid pray;
visions get lost in grayness.

These vacuum eyes are
just another follower
to the final destination.

Ice Queen

Distant muse of inner slaughter,
without any sympathy,
blended her own blue blood
with arteries of silhouettes
whose, after transformation,
became particles of frame of frozen photograph.

Moon came out in form of full madness
so we walked, blindly,
to see, in the lake, empty reflection of nothingness.
There are no stars,
she took them all;
I have to disembarrass
of wine because she drank it too,
and veins in which she prowled.

From her icebound throne
she observed continuum of emotions
because, higher you fly, fall will be more painful.

Oh, ice queen will break you,
you can come with thirst, searching for provocative water,
but you will leave crawling,
with pieces of ice infixed in fingers.

Hand of Sorrow

Majestic icebergs form heart's galaxies,
mosaics of thorns within crystallized anomaly;
bloody words belong to myopic chimeras
who sketched my omnipresent, patchwork aura.
Cryptic universe melts over inner hues.

-Inhale gentle voices of fallen stars
when the sun burns us down,
we'll travel far...

...well,
whole cosmos's plunged in enigmatic sugar,
licking allurements of darkness from your broken glass,
repeating lullabies of metamorphosed fiends,
falling apart, falling apart...

Cryptic universe melts over inner lakes.

...and
the birches... their branches
narrate amiss angels;
and
the pupils, now,
summon arctic devil.

Ice Queen

Diamond-patterned tongue illustrates wildfire
crawling across recombined heartbeats
doused with flourish hissing of emerald sun
which embedded witchcrafts into frigid aura.

Cerulean eyes absorb narrative horizons.

Words surrender to the effigy of winged winter,
embodying malediction within nightingale's heart
as phlegmatic addictions allure silhouettes
outlined with ink of gunpowder and blood.

Icicles, like needles, ornament cyan halo,
embracing frail petals of inner aurora;
snowy watercolors reflect sensations, as
stripped temptations mold enticing gaze.

Frozen

Crystallized candy surrenders to the ground.
Wrought from the very essence of malice.

Sway to this glacial melody,
With your lips made of frost.
Sing gently, this frigid song,
And your words will be lost.

Icicles are falling, piercing my fragile skin.
Blue liquid seeps out, to taint the snow.

Bleeding Blizzard blood,
Still dancing to this song.
Head swarming with lies,
Of a love that was wrong.

Seduced by moonlight, on a wintry day.
Leaden steps fall from feet that have wept.

Fall into the frosty ocean,
Let the ice hold your heart.
Love is only a fairytale,
That rips your soul apart.

Stand My Ground

Once I was so weak
Invisible to the eye
My voice would fall off as I spoke
I'd wait for no reply

Now the blood is flowing
From my heart into my head,
I swear before the night is out
I'll leave you here for dead

Your words, they hold no power here
My ears have fallen mute
Apologies don't leave your tongue
Indifference taking root

I will not let you drag me down
Further than we've gone
The horizon's finally in my sight
The breaking light of dawn

The misty fog you held me in
Is, at last, giving way
I'll stand my ground and fight for all
You took from me each day

Within wavelets of blue a gaze befalls
upon ripples mesmerizing to the eye
lost in memories as thoughts wander
to times of foregone days gone by

It was but only one poisonous wave
that swept the heart to distant land
loneliness finding solace within a voice
that crossed miles, upon miles by hand

So sweet the voice that lingered,
soothing the mind, deep and true
intruding mid-summer night slumber
secret adoration began to brew

A deathly cocktail so enticing
taste of forbidden fruit so sweet
wondering if the poet realized
he revived a heart that lost it's beat

Another time, perhaps another life
their wings shall spread and soar
but until the whisper of the final breath
her heart belongs on the island shore

The world is a terrible place
there's hatred all around
people fear being alone
but I will stand my ground

Bitter thoughts consume all
who try running away
but I will still stand my ground
won't be afraid to stay

Used to use you to hide
but I will stand my ground
Alone I stay to fight
but my fear won't be found

I will stand my ground
when you leave me behind
I can't give up now when
there's happiness to find
