    Velvet Morning
    by PMurphy

Luscious colors of red and warmth
    painted across my sky,
    i look through these images
seems as if god knows that i stare.

    Gives me this intense feeling
as the clouds kiss the stars.
    Even with the suns light,
    I still see them...

The blues collide with the reds,
everything has nothing but little dread.
Makes it seem like angels have bled.
Oh how beautiful this site i see.

    All the colors collapse around
makes my body feel like its crashing now,
it consumes my mind and soul.
    Bodies are now alike.

I am intact for i rise higher,
soon i am to embrace this site.
    The sunrise creates this motion
as i wish to be inside its light.

Now this is nothing for i simply describe,
describe this feeling of intense delight.
For this is my Velvet Morning....
Oh how i never wish for the night.

    Neon Wilderness
    by PMurphy

    Searching and looking
I am in search of all those that seek.
    This Neon wilderness
    belittles my feet.

    I am a simple traveler,
    a tourist you could say
for I wish to see all the pleasures
that could be brought into each day.

I hear this land is rich
as the colors collide with the stars,
I hear the trees reach high
I hear they can even touch mars.

    I hear the leaves sing
as though it intoxicates your soul
I hear the bushes are magical
that it will take its tolls.

I hear it tempts your mind
    to doubt its real
I hear it repeats its charm
    to make you feel.

I hear its vibrant in color
as though you are splitting in two
    I hear everything you see
    seems like it consumes you.

    For these reasons
    and for my own,
    I had heard
    but I do not know.

    For I seek,
    to find this now.
    Oh I wish
    this to be found.

    My neon wilderness
    I call it today,
    now I search.
For I have not time for play.

    The Rolling People
    by PMurphy

    Picking
    up the speed.
    One thought is racing.
"Why these people why these people,
will not continue to start breaking."
They speed through all thoughts as though
one is meant to listen, but never be told.
They continue to judge you, as though...
One is meant to be judged, but never told.
These people continue to roll, as you are not their
continue to past until you have no hair.
Make you untrust your body and soul
make you leave around with no toll
for this moment one must reflect
as the speed begins to slow
    for these people that
    continue to roll
    are known
    as simply.
    The
    fallen.

    One Day
    by Lonely Romeo

    On a foggy day
    The air was cleared,
    A forgotten feeling
    Once again appeared.

    A twist of the neck
    And a flick of hair,
    Her beautiful blue eyes
    Caught me in a stare.

    One day she'd be mine
    To have and to hold,
From the moment I saw her
Until the day we grew old.

    Time had moved forth
    Our fingers interlaced
    Impressions of solitude
    Were quickly replaced.

    Good times kept rolling
    With obstacles subdued,
    But bitter disagreements,
    In screams they'd conclude.

    Fights began to resume,
    An adapted routine,
    A treacherous pain
    At an age of sixteen.

    You accepted my world
    And molded me so,
    We altered our lives
    In hopes we'd grow.

    Such betrayal bestowed
    Anguish now burns,
    To wash away this despair
    Is now what I yearn.

    When "I love you"
    No longer sounds the same,
    You slowly start to learn
    Love's a win-lose game.

    Every ounce of compassion
    In a second had twist
    When your lips met his
    And proceeded to kiss.

    You had my world
    In your delicate hands,
    A simplicity of mistrust
    I couldn't understand.

    I tried and tried again
    To turn things around,
    But every time I did
You burned it to the ground.

    You took me for granted
    And had deeply misused,
    A once peaceful soul
    Now battered and bruised.

    Such pain dealt purposely
    Will leave scars forever there,
    There isn't enough remorse
    In the world to repair.

    One day when reality calls
    And the pain begins,
    You'll remember my name
    And my voice from within.

    You'll reach for the phone
    Then steadily call,
And as much as I love you
    I will remain tall.

    Even though you've changed
    The scars still remain,
    They've yet to fade,
    Inflicted and maintained.

    I've finally moved on,
    Finding true serenity,
    "Leave a message"
    Rings the answering machine.

    Weeping Willow

You stand alone, so sad and drawn,
    My weeping willow of Babylon,
The comfort found inside your shade,
    Made me strong and unafraid.

    Inspiration in your limbs,
    Co-conspirator of my whims,
You helped me dream, freed my mind,
The truest friend, I'll ever find.

It's sad to see your state today,
The world is thriving, you decay,
    Overrun and falling down,
My weeping king who's lost his crown.

They'll free you from your misery,
    Trapped inside this concrete sea,
Cut you down and strip you bare,
I'll miss you more than I can share.

    No one really understands,
The safety felt inside your hands,
The solace that you brought upon,
The eager mind I held withdrawn.

Goodbye old friend, I hope you know,
How much I hate to see you go,
Every time I pass this spot,
I'll think of all the joy you brought.

    The Drugs Don't Work

To The Brother I Thought I knew.

Burn such flammable eyes a little more,
    Gasoline cans spark self destruction,
    Thrashing away in powdered graveyards,
Tranced within colors you never knew.

Aching hearts still reside within snow,
Stop freezing yourself within fake ice,
Let salty tears travel to bitter lips,
Don't be afraid to let go of old habits.

Deny feared trapment to bounded webs,
You'll fall and stumble yet never win,
I've always whispered to deafened ears,
Though who am I to judge a fools life.

Bruises will heal upon tiresome skin,
Yet memory's never fade into the flesh,
Jealousy can haunt the world to pieces,
Only your pained heart knows this best.

Trust in me when I hush I'll help you,
Crawling comes first, then you walk.
Take the last steps of becoming a man,
Returning to innocence of who you are.

    Weeping Willow

    Weeping willow,
    A willow that weeps
    A tight clenched heart
    With secrets to keep.

    Weeping willow
    Crying for hours
    Making the dew,
    Feeding the flowers.

    Weeping willow
    Weeping so alone,
I will weep with you, Willow
You are no longer on your own.

    Weeping willow,
    A willow that weeps
    And holds a deep secret
    For always, to keep.

    Catching the butterfly

    Catching the butterfly
Isn't as easy as it seems
    It's like catching love
    Or catching dreams.

    Catching the butterfly
    Can make you fall hard
It can make you trip up
    And fall down in shards.

    Catching the butterfly
    Has broken many kings,
    It seems so innocent as
It glides softly by on gentle silk wings.

    Velvet Morning

    Gentle, soft, a velvet morning
A quiet wind whips across the awning
    Weariness brings up silent yawning
    Insomnia on this velvet morning.

Gentle and soft, this velvet morning
The sun rises, day is dawning
The night is but a shadow, cold and haunting
The day is out there, loud and flaunting.

    Gentle, soft, a velvet morning
Shine has gone and clouds are swarming
The sky is looking dark and stormy
And tired eyes are still yawning.

    Gentle, soft, a velvet morning
The overcast sky utters no warning
The wind whips up, across the silk awning
    Insomnia on this velvet morning.

    Bittersweet Symphony

    I shall embrace static marionettes,
    yet,
    I shan't,
    won't,
    because you are just
a real life kind of fire,
    trampled by ghosts
    who licked piano keys.

    Hey, baby dolls,
    why don't you drink that
    bittersweet lemonade of soul?
    Everybody,
    scream silently!

    Now,
    purple skyscrapers
    scrape
    purple sky.

    Florescent emotions
    you packed,
    packed in the suitcases
of words and pearls and lace.

    Hey, baby dolls,
    why don't we sing
    to the death of ozone?

    Lucky Man

Just to have you at my side
Brings a happy tear to my eye,
    Looking at you, such beauty,
    I cannot help but cry,

To you I give my innermost,
My soul and hopes and dreams,
    The luckiest of mankind me,
To have you as my queen.

    Neon Wilderness

    Mahogany disdain ravages eloquent moments
as this sepia syndrome gathers luggage of epochs,
puzzling lungs of acid brigades, which succumbed
to cryptic axes of lavender, forlorn triumphs.

Sultry spirituality combust cocoons of stereotypes,
cliches that built virulent sacrilege within heart.
Majestic designs break through marble realms
of satin hallucinations drank with iridescent wine.

Ecstatic damnation designed my acrid exterior
sketching hypnotizing graffiti over lustful pupils.
This soul rests in neon wilderness, world's catacombs
of sin, where the versifiers weave lucid aromatherapy.

    Apocalyptic cathedral hides whimsical fireflies
that absorb replicas of crescent-shaped liberty,
inflaming cotton arrows, aiming at balconies
where the torches of inspiration bewitch our sky.

    Weeping Willow

I tend to write down the roses
    together with poisonous thorns,
    smeared across the sunsets
of all cries that went unheard.

    Bitterness douses senses
trapped in a web of reality.

    Crystal dancers pave the road
    to omnipresent frustration,
yet, I have to stick to my legacy
    of weeping willows and gems.

    The world swims thousand oceans
    within the god's blind eyes.

I tend to write down the fire
    along with sepia ashes,
    embedded into hearts
    of my fallen comrades.

    Tragedies seize the soul,
    uniting our visions once again.

  • Romancing the Darker Side

    One Day

    Pain spilled out, near picturesque,
    A masquerade under neat disguise.
Those among me played out, faceless,
A young and deeply poetic demise.

Drenched to the bone, careless and free,
A lonely survivor sought the opposing.
Agony slipped in, surrendering the body,
Of I, who was only posing.

    Twisted and tortured, turmoil transpired,
Until I had soon seen enough.
One day I'd decided, black blood in hand,
    Depressing demons were no bluff.

Smashing out of the mold, my spirit dead,
I raced to recover my soul.
    I slipped and fell, completely helpless;
On day had taken its toll.

    Catching The Butterfly

    Antique sunsets of your sincere heart;
    hold depth alike moonlights glow.
Alas dusk decends within the eyes,
    Decreasing
    Decling
    Falling.
    Into purple emperors of you.

    When stars diverged into midnight,
You first held unity in palm.
I watch stellar dance upon lips,
    Never blinking a lash, incase;
    you disappeared into the light.
    A monarch of your beauty.

    That moment I came to realize;
darkness holds beauty of its own.
    Slowly becoming transparent,
    I caught pink butterflies.
    Tumbling
    Turning
    Twisting.
    Falling in love with you.
