Please Pray

Please pray for my friend, Matthew tonight. He was in a very bad car accident around 8:45 p.m. and he was thrown from the truck. He was flown to the Med in Memphis, TN and they are performing brain surgery on him right now. It is now 12:45. Please pray for him and his family.

It's now 4:30 a.m. and I still haven't heard anything from my dad or my uncle. They both went down to the Med to see his family. =/

Ok, my dad came in about an hour ago and said that the doctors expect him to live, but they're not sure if he'll be paralyzed or if he'll be able to talk or function on his own again. The doctors said it could take weeks or months to find out the full extent of his injuries.

Thanks for everything guys. I know that you all helped him pull through!!

His brother texted me this morning saying that Matthew's squeezed his parents fingers and he's opened his eyes a little. The doctors still aren't sure on anything just yet, but they say that those are good signs after just having brain surgery.

That's good to hear, it may be a long recovery, but thankfully so far he is pulling through.

An incident recently happened in my school where 5 kids were in a car and it crashed due to drunk driving. one died, 1 got 'severe brain damage' and the others were hurt, but not so badly. they expected the girl (with brain damage) not to live through the night, nor to even be able to like...function again. but its been about a month and she can talk and everything is fine...and it all started with squuezing of fingers and eyes opening...give it time...he will be in my thoughts, yet i dont pray..sorry.
