Accident

Okay, so...i have a really good friend, i call him Wurt. he is practically my older brother. well, today he was in an accident. what happened was there was a Menards truck, then this other car and then wurt. well, stuff started falling off of the menards truck so the woman directly behind it slammed on her breaks, wurt did his best to miss her, but he clipped the back end and pushed her out into traffic. the woman ended up not making it.

so here is my question. what should i do? he is so miserable and is blaming himself for everything and i know how he is, he drinks to get rid of pain. i am just afraid that if i ask him about it, he is going to re-live it and get even more depressed and do something crazy. how should i approach this?

It's hard to say, you know him better than us, obviously it wasn't his fault and he did his best to avoid it, just remind him of that.
