only worth a 4.4?

would you please read my poem "plastered smiles" and vote/comment so I know why I deserved the score 4.4?

Christa, I read your poems including Plastered Smiles. My opinion is that two of your other poems, Gin and Drugs and At the Devil's Door, are your best works deserving top ratings. This one, while it is still very good, would rate a bit lower IMO.

But I really commend you for dealing with a topic that deserves to be aired and for expressing it so well in your poetry. I have personally seen such enormous misery caused from substance abuse and addiction that I don't think there can be enough said about it. And it is always the kids that suffer the most.

Gin and Drugs was awesome. You write well.

My bit of personal advice... don't care too much about the ratings... there was a time when all of my poems were brought down by one vote of 1. (by the same person, I bet)... they all went... *whoosh*.............. but that wasn't why I deleted them..

the point is, as long as YOU enjoy YOUR work, it shouldn't matter what others think. So my experience with spiteful ratings actually taught me something. hmm...

anyway, I sincerely liked Plastered Smiles the most out of all your poetry.. but that's just me
