That latley the Newspapers (in the UK) and sites around the world today are reporting about the recent suicide of 13 year old Hannah Bond.

Her tragic death is being blamed by mainstream media on the "emo culture" and in particular Hannah's love of My Chemical Romance.

people should stop blaming music for emotional states, especially if you don't know anything about the music or the band. The girl was depressed, and someone should have gotten her help.

i dont know if this has been mentioned already......

I'm not even a fan of MCR but WTF!!
I'm a cutter myself and music has played no part in me doing it, if anything it has helped me cope with life and STOPPED me hurting myself!

People just like to blame media and everything else because they don't want to blame themselves.

I agree with bangbang...people and pain make cutters. not music.

Cutters do that to themselves. I don't understand the whole cutting thing anyways. If anyone would care to explain self-harm to me, please do so.

Lol ^ it is like that exactly.

music has always helped me cope. back when i had suicidal thoughts, music helped me feel like i wasnt alone, not like i should kill myself. i mean come on. instead they should be blaming the reasons WHY she was sad and suicidal.
