Vacation in Gatlinburg , Tennessee

I'm takin the family to Gatlinburg on vacation. Has anyone been there before and have any suggestions for stuff to do while we are there??

My family and I go there every year. We live in West TN, so it's only about a 6 or 7 hour ride up there. There's alot of fun things to do. Usually, we rent a cabin, go to the grocery store for breakfast and lunch foods (we eat out for dinner), and walk up and down the strips. There's not a whole lot to do up there, but maybe that's because I'm 16 and we've been going up there forever! lol But it is pretty fun. I like the aquarium and haunted house... You can ride the trolley anywhere you want to go and it only cost a quarter for each person and you can ride for hours.

Thats sort of our plan. we have a cabin rented for 10 days. we are going to do the breakfast / lunch thing there and go out for dinner. Living in north central west virginia its about a 6 hour drive for us too.thanks for the info!!
