CLUB TO CLUB CHALLENGE ( rules under construction)

IM JUST TRYING TO COME UP WITH A BASIS OF RULES. NOT THE REAL RULES IF WE HOLD A CONTEST JUST AN EXAMPLE

Each club may enter a poem for the topic under each genre. For each genre a club may also enter a collab poem. Also each club may produce a club collab poem where the members in this contest contribute one stanza to the poem.
Each poet from each club may only have 3 of their poems entered into the contest. ALL POEMS MUST BE NEW

Each club may pick a judge to judge the contest however the club selected judge will not judge their own poetry club entries. i will give judge rules to the judges once they are selected.

Also when posting poems in plz put your club intials, title and author. Plz have managers or club assistants post the poems for the contest

I intended for the contest to last two months once everything is organized and im from CC&P

Okay well sounds good, i guess weve decided no poems for the contest should be posted by the author until after the contest, oh but i think ill be the one submitting the poems for CC&P our managers and assisstants seem busy.

Well uhhh, plz no fighting children lol. anyhow ive been given the suggestion to not let the judges know who wrote what poem.

Just my opinion but I believe that if there are going to be other clubs as well in the contest other than RTVW and CC&P that the author and the club remain anonymous so that there is no biased opinions.

Since I'm the manager of RTVW I'll submit for my club...but incase I can't one of my assistants will take over for me.

Okay than were doing this by title lol. but i do need to know if another club is entering, if your from another club plz post that your entering ^^ I hope to start this contest in a week, so plz find your judges.

If you have read the rules it says each club will have a judge but that judge will not be judging their own poetry clubs entries. I believe its best for each club to chooose their own judge because it only seems fair. Plust finding commited judges outside of clubs is hard. If i chose judges there may be complaints about me being biased of choosing judges. Also i have chose judges in the past and usually there ends up to be a problem of the commitment of judges. I believe each club has a great potential of choosing a great judge

Should the judge be a member of the club? Is that what you are saying or could it be a member outside the club or perhaps even the site?

Well RTVW has selected our judge from the club members ......Sluvy if he accepts :)

The judge should be a member of the club. It may come to that we would need judges out of the clubs however.

I don't really like the idea of each club having a judge if that excludes them from participating in the challenge. Perhaps each club could nominate a member with no club affiliation.....

Well everyone on the thread so far except 2 members are from RTVW .....so looks like we're ready :)

I agree Bob, otherwise it would be the typical Great JOB with no explanation as to why or what you felt when reading the poem.

And since you wouldn't be judging poems from your own club, would the judges still be able to participate?

Huh oh were doing it by genre, im, it doesnt matter the style. I wouldnt be really strict on the poems. I a haiku has more than 6 syllables lets not disqualify it however if someone puts there poem as a sad poem and its a nature one than disqualify it.

Yes it is called formed poetry for a reason. If you don't follow the form then it should be disqualified.

So according to the rules that are stated above ....it would actually only be 8 poems per club. And one member could have submitted 3 of them? Is that what I am understanding?
I honestly think it shoudl be a myriad of poetry and not limited to 8 poems for the club

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO, okay, lets look at the sadness genre, okay under sadness there is grieving, sadness and other. A club may enter 3 poems into that one genre under each topic. That makes a total of 24 poems that can be entered from each club and actually i forgot to count the collabs. So a club is entering at max 30 poems. I ALREADY STATED THE RULE ABOVE PLZ READ.However a club does not have to do every little topic under each genre. but the contest will be judged by genre.

and the rule still stands a poet from each club may only enter 3 poems at max unless doing a collab. This reason being because first i dont want to end up having one person from a club having most of their poems submitted and the other members submitting hardlly any.

Oh and i think i'll have to find 4 out of club judges however i dont know how yall want to do that. If yall allow me to i will try to find our judges that are out of clubs however i do not want any comments about the judge. So if yall want another way of judges being picked plz tell me. It seems that Cindy may have a few in mind. Well up to yall, oh and if you say its your contest go find the judges, than i will pick four judges and you cannot complain.
