How did you meet your girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/wife/significant other?

I want to hear all stories, romantic, sad, funny, odd... all of them.

I met my boyfriend through a BLOG.

Actually we've seen each other every day at the bus stop, but we had never spoke to each other. So one day, I was blog-hopping when I came across his blog(I knew his name from my friends who were in the same school as him.), so he linked my blog. I was surprised so I asked him who he was, just to make sure. So we started tagging each other and became really good friends. He told me that if after 1 year, the both of us are still not taken, we'll try out as bf and gf. But even before 1 year, he told me he love me and that's how we ended up together.

Well, I've known Jake since we were born. Our mom's were friends and we lived next door to each other. But growing up, Jake was the golden child. He was the good kid out of trouble, i was the the trouble maker. I ALWAYS got in trouble, even though i usually didn't do anything. He just liked getting me in trouble. So I moved with my dad when i turned 14, and went home to visit with my mom and step family during the summers, when Jake would be at camp or something. So this summer, I went to visit with mom and Jake was home. I was really pissed, but you know, whatever right? So there was this party in late may (I had to go to my mom's house in may because my dad left for europe) and Jake and I started talking. Of course i was really hesitant but whatever right? How much trouble could he get me in? then we take a walk and he decides he wants to go swimming. So he goes to his friend's back yard, strips down to his boxers and dives in. I swear i wouldn't have gone in if he hadn't challenged me at freestyle like when we were kids. anyway, we ended up making out and then the cops were called, and since then, i've kind of liked him too much for my own good. He's really a great guy and I love that my step sister Lillian totally likes him and he just hates her as much as i do... anyway, that's our story.

Um he is my ex now but
we have known each other since we were babies

our mom's have known each other since they were in high school

so i am still goin to see a lot of him
but i still love him...as a friend

I met my ex at prom. I had a crush on my friend who's named John, he was two months older than me but a grade below me in school, and we had a big fight before prom, as in the week before. Eventually we made up and decided to go together since I had missed my Junior prom the year before. During the prom, John, who was nominated for prom court, said he had to do something and didn't know how long he would be so he asked me to dance with his friend Chris who had come alone and who he had introduced me to earlier. So I went over to Chris, grabbed his hand and pulled him onto the dance floor. I never thought I would see him after that night, but I was wrong. He came up to me the next school day while I was walking late to the office and he was late to class, a few times I talked to him for a minute or two and then got his number since he was graduating as well and all my other friends were only juniors or below. We dated a week shy of ten months: Needless to say while he was not my first boyfriend, after he broke up with me, I realized he was my first love.

well i went on vacation. I went out with my cousin and his friends. He was there && he made a really bad first impression on me. He sumhow got my email prob from my cuzin. WE started talking dont know what made me but yeah. And we went out the next time I went up and then it became a LDR, for almost 6 months.

Haha oh my goodness. these are so funny. If you ever read about this sort of meeting in a book I wrote, know i thought about you when i was writing it. :D lol.

I met my ex boy friend my first year of high school in a country i absolutely hated. I was very dark and pretty much hated the world and everyone in it. There were a lot of boys that liked me, but there was only one that showed no interest in me at all that i couldn't stop staring at. He was the joker in class and i love guys that can make me laugh, i finally got the guts to give him my email and we started to chat online. A rumor went around the school saying i was a lesbian, i found out later it was started by a "friend" who didnt like the attention i was getting. So my ex was there for me a lot and we eventually got together. We were together for 9 months, and then he went away back to the states. He is still my very best friend and i still see him every summer<3

I met my twin's father at a party years ago. His name was Kyle. I was thirteen, wreckless and stupid. He was my superhero. He saved me from myself. I met my current boyfriend about a month after Kyle died. I was at the mall, stressing out and trying to buy my kids new clothes when Michael saw me, and helped me. We've been together since.

How did i meet the girl i love right now... well its was actually quite funny. Shes a senior and im a freshman.. well the years almost done so yeah... shes out of high school and im a sophmore... but at the beginning of the year we were in this HUGE study hall of like 145. My friend and I were sitting in the back looking towards the front and this gorgeous girl comes walking in. I didnt know what to say... complete and udder silence from me ( which is very unusual ). She sits down like 7 seats from me and i couldnt help but stare. Then my friends dared me too talk to her. I walked up to her and got behind her and stopped. She looked up to me and i was wicked nervous and i walked away.

A month later I found her on myspace and I added her. ( she didnt know who i was ). Then i messaged her and we talked like nothing. Then i talked to her on AOL. Turns out we both did track.... so during break we still had practice and the night before she was like " i want to meet you in person so i can see you " I said ok but im long distance and you arnt... and she said "well ill do long distance"... so come the next day she didnt.... i was very devasated... though she was still at practice... i got the guts to talk to her... and i walked up and said.. "You are soooo lucky you didnt do long distance today cause it was a hard day".... she looked at me and smiled with those blue eyes... omg... i was in love.

We like each other now... though its hard to see each other on the account that she is graduated...

I met my boyfriend 3 and half years ago.

I worked in the same shop as his mum and he'd always come into the shop and say hi to his mum but never to me.

He was cute but I was too shy to say anything.

I had to work on my birthday and he walked in with a paper bag and gave it to me..... It was a coke bottle with an unlit sparkler around it!

Very very strange present but it made me laugh and he said that he's been waiting to make me smile for weeks but didn't know how.

We swapped emails and numbers and then 4 months later were dating - we've been together nearly 3 years now....

...all because of a bottle of coke and a sparkler!

My youth group went to his church for a youth conference our senior year in high school. We saw each other and remember seeing each other, but weren't introduced.

We both ended up going to the same college (but not knowing where the other was going) and a girl from his church was was my roommate, so she formally introduced us. My best friend and his best friend started dating, so we were always together but dated other people. Soon WE were best friends.

Eventually we started dating and the rest is history. We just celebrated our 20th anniversary.

we met in 5th grade and we became best friends immediately and we were neighbors too....we were best friends until i started to lik her since 7th grade but i knew she was straight and she had a boyfriend so I backed off..wat i didnt know..wuz tht she was bii lik me =)...end of 9th grade we were talkin and i let it slip......and she told me tht amazinly tht she liked me bak =) so weve goin strong since =)

How I found my bff

we both went to the same school but the fist time that we really talked was when we started making fun of this boy that we both hated. ever sice that day we are best friends. I can't believe that the boy we both hated can do something good to both of us and that is giving us a new friend. we still hate him for somethings but we are thankfull that we both hate him.

The Love of my Life.

I was at volleyball practice, and we had a 5 hr. practice that day, and right afterward we had to go help out a registration for my school. that's when I first saw him. We didnt speak but i knew he looked at me. First week of school, I got dumped on my 1-year anneversary with this guy named Armando. so i was devistated. but Lupe [the guy this is about] helped me out after school [i had to stay after bcuz we had our first home v-ball game] and we were flirting, and he came to my first game. And we talked for a few months. & we finally got together. [11-17-07] i love him to death and back, & i noe i alwyz will. He means alot to me, and saw me when i felt i was invisible.

I met my boyfriend when we were little. I was 7, and we met on his 7th birthday.

This DOES involve the story, but when I was little, I thought that pretty or cute people were fairies. x3

But, anyways. I didn't know where we were going, I just knew that it was my little brother's friend's house. It was an outside birthday party, so I was walking around outside, and I stumbled upon a boy, crouched down. He looked up at me, and stood up, and he was about my height.

First words out of my mouth:
"Are you a fairy!?" With the world's biggest grin.

He twisted his face, confused, and said, "No, I don't think so."

He didn't spend any time with his friends, because we were playing in the woods, finding "fairies." By fairies, I mean those little white poofy-looking things that float around during the spring, and they grow the dandelions. x3

And we've gotten along ever since~

I still remember this like it was yesterday.

It was the beginning of my Sophomore year in High School. I was in my 3rd period World History class. With consisted of 15 boys and 3 girls. I had just gotten out of a bad relationship the day before. So I was really upset, yet I still dragged myself to school..

And all of a sudden, there was a knock at our classroom door. One of the seniors walked in with the cutest guy I had EVER seen. I was dumbfolded. I totally forgotten who my ex was and why I had even cried over him. I couldn't keep my eyes off of this guy. I heard the other kids talking to him, he was from Arizona. He seemed really shy but I thought he was so adorable. The office called him back up there, so that's how I figured out what his name was.

My class ALWAYS left early. Our teacher had lunch duty. So after we let out I saw him standing on the sidewalk alone. So I gathered up all of my courage and talked to him. I told him my name, asked where he was from, and his voice was very low. He was so shy.

After that we didn't talk anymore though. He knew I thought he was cute, but we just didn't know one another well. Then... the county fair came along. He really stepped up his game. He started talking to me and totally ditched the girl he was with. We rode tons of rides together. We walked around laughing and just having a great time getting to know each other. We even went on this ride called "The Zipper". Which is like a big ferris wheel, but the carts you're in flip and rotate. He is terrified of heights though and while we were going up, he asked if I wanted to hold hands. Even after the ride, we never stopped holding hands until my mom came to pick me up. He stood there with me for about 10 minutes just waiting for her. It was so sweet.

The rest is just history. The next week of school, I was the only girl on his mind. He started walking me to all of my classes. Holding me before I got on my bus. I can't tell you how many times we got in trouble for PDA. That Friday we went to a football game and dance together and he asked me out before we went into the dance. As soon as I said yes, he just grabbed me and kissed me. Kept kissing me. That was the best night of my life.

This is how my ex asked me out...

i was a party/get together at my friends house and will was there too. i had seen him plenty of times before but never really talked to him.
we talked a little that night.
and then later that night once i got home will called and asked me out.
i said yes, but i thought he was kidding so i broke up with him like 10 mins later.
then he called me a few days later && asked me out again..and while i was deciding whether to say yes or no...my phone died!
plus...again...i thought he was kidding...cuz i never thought he would ever in a million years like me.
then like a day or two later i was with my bff && her bro ((her bro && will are like best frends)).
i was reading her bros texted cuz i saw some were from will. one of them said "keep jesse away from becca. shes my girl!"
so i turned to her bro && was like OMG! is he serious? he really likes me??
he said duhh thats why he kept askin you out!!!
so i got her bro to tell him to ask me out again && that i would definitely say yes.
we went out for 6 months.

MSN. Knew each for a year, secrets, and all that stuff. Then met each in real life for a week, and there it stopped. Sheesh, long-distance relationships can be really dangerous. We weren't attracted to each other in the slightest, but naturally I THOUGHT I was...

Welll the person is my ex now... but i met her through a skool program i go to... i went there for anger and depression, but then i met the girl of my dreams... we broke up i lil while ago but we still express our luv... we've broken up idk maybee 5 tymes but we just cant stay away... im young,14, but we just clik and make each otha happy

How i met my current boyfriend was trhough all my friends and like school. he just started hanging out with us more and more. He told me a year before we started dating that he was like really really into me but i was still with my other boyfriend and i guess you could call it leading him on but all i said was i dig you too and he waited for me for 8 months(when i broke up with my then boyfriend)

well. its a long story and lets just say i ended up hoookin up with someone very close to him before we got together. but he let it go. and now we are happy together.

Ohhh lordy... we kind of met on here... and then when I got her to actually meet me, ohhh Welpp, she's been locked in my Basement ever since.... That's Love!

okay well I was walking down the hall & he was walking with his friend..his friend came up to e & was asking for my number & my poor little John was in the background trying to look cool lol
he kept walking up & jumping into me & his riends convo..whic mde his friend really mad so i gave his friend my number..& a few days later me & john kept running into eacother & he began coming with me to lunch...he was so mean to me though lol,he always would hit me & make up mean things to say haha...for a few months he was just a guy i went to for money lol
then month dragged by & i lost my first love & john was by my side through all the tears & a few months later we dated & it couldnt have any more perfect..& last night he asked me to marry him <3..im so excited

Uuuum well it was in my first year of highschool on the year 7 camp about 3 days after we first started school.
We basically knew eachother when we both did our red faces act one night on the camp.
I noticed him when he played the piano upside down and he noticed me when i did my act where i made funny animal noises...yer it was a bit strange lol

Lol I met him at one of my friends get-togethers.... ever since then...i've really loved him.

Well, It Was Spring Break From School In March And I Had Been Going To Sonic For Their Half Price Drinks From 2-4 Every Day. Lol. I Had Spotted A Guy Who Never Brought Out My Drink And He Just Looked So Cute Fumbling Around Trying To Carry Drinks And All That Stuff. Finally The Last Day Of My Spring Break I Was Telling My Aunt About This Cute Guy That Was Working At Sonic And She Immediately Wanted To See Who I Was Talking About So We Went Up There And One Of My Friends Happened To Bring Out My Drink And I Asked Her If She Would Give Him My Number For Me. Well She Did And He Called Me Later That Day And Now We Have Been Dating For 4 Months And Two Days, And I Am Truly In Love With Everything About This Guy!! Every Single Day Gets Better And Better And I Wouldn't Change Anything In The World About It....

We were both working on the same team to cater a banquet at Cerritos College. he ended up being the leader of my team. That night i was wearing earrings and one fell off.
The next day i saw him in class and said he had my earing (it was a red heartshaped earring) I told him thanks and if i could have it back. He said no because it was the first peace of love he picked up from me.
I though it was creapy that he said love but it was really sweet and we dated for a while and then broke up because of our age.
i am barely turning 17 and he was already 18

I was chillin at my best friends house it was funni cuz I was tellin her how I needed to find a boi who would treat me speacial, and she was goin on bout her so called brother (who is really her close friend) then all of a sudden she looks across the street and smiles turns out he was ridin a bike in front of us. Wen I saw him I was speechless not becuz he was like super sexy but becuz he had dis look and his smile and smirk made me blush and its just so hard to explain..*nd he had the best long hair. He looked at me and smiled my friend introduced us and we just tlked. He kept teasin me and touching my hair. Then he left and right away I started tlkin bouit him so much dat my friend got annoyed! When he came back he found out bout me and he admited to likin me! The best part was that as he was leavin he bent down and kissed me ion the cheek in such a sweet way like he respected me. He stole my shades which forced me to c him again by tha end of the month we were datin. Are first date was the best! I loved the way he looked at me every time he kissed me just rthe way he did wen he first met me

Ill talk about my ex because im still head over heals for him...i'm going to tell our whole story because..well..i just wanna. dont have to read anything but the next paragraph if u dont wanna.

we met when i was a freshman and he was a junior. him and vikki [my best friend] started dating. they went to home coming together, and he completely ignored her and actually broke up w/ her there. and so i met him by going over to him and telling him that what he did was the shittiest [can i say that on here] thing to do ever. and called hiim out..lol

well, so that was that until the end of the school year. we started talking some...and over the summer we just chatted like friends and stuff. and then in sept of my soph, his senior, year he asked me out. i didnt like him, but i was SO desperate to have a bf i said yes.

after a few days i realized i did actually like him some...lol. but then we broke up after a week of dating because he wanted to get to know me better. well a couple weeks later he asked me out again, i said yes. that lasted 2 weeks. then a couple weeks later we tried a third and 4th time, each lasting 3ish weeks.

so then after a couple months or so, we were on a choir trip [we were both in choir..obviously..lol] and he was a few seats behind me. and my seatmate had fallen asleep and i was bored stupid. then i happened to look back and Logan was staring at me. lol. and he told me to come sit w/ him..and me being head over heals for him still, did. [stupid mistake]. i sat down and he put his arm around me and kissed me. and said he was sorry and he missed me and he wanted another chance. i said yes x.x well, the next day he said he had no recollection of this..he says that he goes into trances he doesnt remember anything..like he's sleeping.

lol. i know. hard to believe, right? i didn't really believe him until very recently.

ANYWAY, so after our half a time going out [hence why i say we dated 4.5 times whenever anyone asks] he got mad at ME for who knows what reason. and we didnt talk until june 18th this year. he told me he missed me and has always thought he made a mistake and he wanted another chance. me STILL being head over heals for him after 1.5 years of not talking, said yes.

and our 3 weeks 2 days together was the happiest time of my life. but we just broke up 2 weeks ago as of today. =/

so thats my story. ive been head over heals for this man for about 2 years now...its awful really. =[ now i'm going into my senior year at the end of august =/

oh, and me and him are good friends right now, like we tell each other everything. and i told him my best friend [vikki...the one he dated] has been spying on him and pretending to be someone else to get dirt about him. i didnt know until last friday and i told him and he goes and tells her i told him x.x so now my best friend isnt talking to me. lol

Well alright.

I talked to this girl named Stephanie [everyone calls her a whore n that; she kinda is] but she was working at Madrigal and I went over to hang out with my friends Jen & Alys. But Stephanie was talking on Jen's cell phone with her boyfriend at that time. I mind you this is on a Saturday night. [I had nothing better to do but I'm sure dang proud that I had nothing to do =] ] But Jennifer said her minutes were going low and she had to save them so Stephanie asked me if she could use my cell phone [free nights =] ] and call her boyfriend who was named Al. So I let her cuz she talked alot about him and I'm like okay, I ain't gonna use my cell phone that night so whatever. But then she had to waitress the people at Madrigal and so she didn't want to hang up with Al and she goes "Your brother is single right?" And I guess Al said yeah cuz all of the sudden she goes "Well my friend is single and I think her and your brother would be a cute couple" So she hands the phone to me and I just started asking Al about his brother who was named Adam. He's a farmer, 23, he lives with Al and I'm like okay. So yeah. So when Steph came back I hand her the phone back and said that Adam seems like a nice guy. So yeah she gave Al my number to tell Adam and I got to talk to Al for a little bit cuz Stephanie couldn't talk on the phone AND open her locker when she was done [me and jen and alys walked with her]. But yeah she goes well Al I want you to come tomorrow night here. Summer can tell you where it is and make sure you tell Adam he HAS TO COME! I didn't think Adam would call me that night but he did and he sounded so CUTE =]. So yeah, he said he didn't know if he could get off work that night to come and he was weary of it but I told him I wanted to meet him. But he ended getting off work and I told Jennifer that when she got to Madgrical to tell Steph that Al & Adam were both coming. So yeah, I told Adam where i lived [ which was RIGHT next to the high school & that they could park in my drive way]. Well they did about a few minutes later. I was SO embarassed cuz my face was BRIGHT RED, I had wet hair [ in freaking winter dude!] and I accidently dropped my cell phone. Adam told me the difference between him and his brother Al. So I'm like looking at both of them [never met them in my life] and I'm trying to decide who was who. So I took a chance and went "your adam and your al right?" and they both go yeah. But yeah we went and walked in and the night just passed. Al left to go take his truck from my driveway into the school parking lot [which happened to be right in front of my house too =/] and Stephanie just left work and said screw that and went to her locker to grab her coat. Well we weren't suppose to be in the hallways but when we went to walk down to Steph's locker Adam grabbed my hand causually and just kept walking. My heart beated so fast I thought I was gonna be like OMG and faint. Then we went to this dark hallway and just hung out. Then Adam just held me =]. Then we decided to go to Al's truck and cram all four of our butts in there just in the front [no back seat in his pickup]. Adam & I just started talking and that. THEN my GRANDMA came home and I'm like ****. The windows were fogged up from Al & Steph trying to go at it but still im like oh crap. But Al walked Steph back to the school before her mom came and picked her up [at 10]. And Adam hugged me for the first time and kissed me and said he loved me. I was kinda iffy if he meant it but here we are 8 months on August 1, 2008 happy as ever, no fights, nothing! Steph & Al broke up around Adam & I's 2 months or somewhere near that.
But Adam & I say we met first love at sight and through his brother and a whore. =]

I've met my first boyfriend (but he's not mine now...sad...:-<) wen i was in grade 2 i think im 8 yrs old by that time and his fifth grader...he and one of his classmate were ask by our teacher to look after our class...but when me and my friend talk with a little loud voice they said if we will continue talking they will kiss us...since then the story became an issue to the whole class...
i was on my fifth grade when i knew he had a crush on me...
and im on my fourth year highschool wen he courted me...after six months we became a couple...and the relationship last for 2 years, 6months and 7 days...we've decided to part ways...and find ourself first..
after 2 and 1/2 years im still alone...still waiting for the right man to comes along...

Okkkay, well i was at home when the phone rang and it was my best friend askin me if i was still comin over for the weekend. i wasn't plannin on it, i wasn't even gonna call we planned it weeks ago so i just figured she forgot about it &* i wasn't really feeling good; and i just wanted to stay home. but since she called (we always plannn stuff but sometimes don't go through with it so when she called i was shocked.) &* i knew i couldn't just say no i don't wanna come. so i told her i was gonna pack, shower and i'd be over there later. so when i got there, her cousin (my current boyfriend) was there. so i sat down on the swing, and we all started talking. then she started talkin about her graduation (she graduated this year.) and i was talkin with her and he was like you was the one at graduation? &* i was like yeaaaa &* he was like i was tryin to talk to you the WHOLE time. and i was like oh sorry. lol. (i thought he was cute &* stuff but i didn't wanna seem..clingy) so i played "hard to get" kinda at first. but as the days went by (i spent like a week there instead of just the weekend) i started to fall for him. soooo we cuddled and fell asleep together and stuff :) and when i left, he asked me to be his girl &* i was like YEAAAAAA! haha and thats how we met &* stuff. chea. i wasn't even plannin on goin. thank God i did though. i guess everything does always happen for a reason... :)

My best story is the fact i asked someone out via paper aeroplane.

i had to throw it over some cars in a school car park (we were both picking family members up), and it hit her window, she read it and came to speak to me lol. took me ages to get the courage to do that.
