    POet of the white plume-
I live in France, and I am a citizen aswell, and I think that you are overreacting and overbearing. Sorry, but I felt I had to say that. I hope I didn't offend you or anything,

I'm sorry-maybe I just didn't understand what you wrote...but James it seems that you are contradicting yourself...first it sounds like you are apologizing "on behalf of all americans..." and then you go and agree with justplainme who has a different viewpoint...what??? and i give you credit for using big words and dont want you to act stupid for the site...and maybe this is just because i am only 15 but i dont understand half of what you post and frankly dont want to try because it just seems so forced and like you are trying to impress people...okay well not tryin 2 start i fight but i bet this probably will...buhbye.

I guess I still don't understand why this topic was formed, and not just kept in its original place. Sure, its an interesting point, but why do we have to have multiple topics on the same thing in multiple categories? There was already a topic for this.

Not that complaining about this is going to do anything.

    OK, JustPlainMe-
I have often "congratulated"you on your openness and, in a way, your arrogance. However, now I am now strongly inclined to "rip off your head and shit down your throat" as Dirty Harry said. Of course, that is not meant to be taken literally. I live in France, I am applying for citizenship and, being a French citizen is a very big plus in the world.
Obviously, you have grown up in America, where you only learn about your history and geography. (forgive me if I am wrong) In France, we learn about France as part of the European Union. Therefore, this conflicts with your idea about France becoming a Third World Country, because all the other countries in the European Union would come to its aid.
You are taling about how France thinks it's superior and is America hating, but, we celebrated the 4th of July for you guys, or maybe you weren't aware of that?
Sparkenbroke is also correct about the fact that if it weren't for France you would still be a colony.
I have to go to bed now, because it is late here, but I am counting on coming back to this post to finish what I have to say.

In reallity guys whats done is done and as my mum would say there is no point in crying over split milk

As Sparky stated in her/his letter to Janis initially this is all about governments...all members of this site who are also active members of a nations government or parliament please stand up?

I have no takers I see...

Fact is guys its out of hands we can't do anything to change the past and these idiots in power have no regard for the influence they have on our future...so is there really any point in arguing about it amongst ourselves when in the end we cannot do anything about it - isn't this just another pointless waste of energy?

I'd also like to mention that Im Australian not American, so Sparky the walking contradiction and hypocrite is just that...she wrote this letter going on and on about being persecuted for the decisions of her government blah blah blah...well hunny all you went ahead and did was the same thing to the Americans you were talking about in your initial letter....

Just my opinion as we are all entitled to it :o)

By the way James I love your posts hun, so politically minded have you thought about running for office? LoL But serious very thought provoking thanks James

And thanks to you all for listening

I know we celebrate Bastille Day, justplainme, but one or two years ago, we celebrated July 4th, right along with you, with American flags on the Champs-Elysees. I live in France because my parents live in France, smart one.

Well I can give a pretty good reason as to why we wouldn't ever attack a European country:Our Trade Deficit.

No I don't mean we owe them money, and it would be mean to fight with them before we pay it off. I mean that we are the world's largest importer of just about everything, with the possible exception of some foods and highly specialized and complex items. Foreign trade has allowed the US, along with every other nation that has entered the global market, to expand its production possiblities frontier. Without foreign trade, the US would not only lack bananas, but we would lose an enormous part of our market for resources (including natural rubber and steel).

As far as who has the better country... well I would rather live in the US (I do), and I feel blessed to have been born in this country, and to have been born into the opportunities that await me as a citizen. That isn't to say that France is a bad place, or that it is filled with people fundementally different from me, I just... well I like the US better.

George Bush is a Mason. Masons have a religious quest to rule the world under one religion. They are doing this by infiltrating all the power jobs in the world and then gently steering the rules and mandates of whatever organisation they belong to [ from the whitehouse to the supreme court ] towards the totalitarian Masonic vision. This is a fact, Georgie boy is a 33rd degree mason, just like his daddy.

Just a little gem of a fact for you all.

JustPlainMe. There really is no need to be so blatantly insulting in this discussion. Surely you have the intelligence to share your pro American views without casting dispersions on every other country in the world? Keep it polite please.

I go back to your original letter Sparkenbroke where you clearly state you are being victimised by an entire other race, for being your particular race not only is it inaccurate but it is hypocritical...

Justplainme calls everyone names, he used to really pee me off but I have found that I actually agree with him on many points and he stimulates a good argument when I don't...so get used to it don't worry he calls me and Oreo and tells me I smell like hair product because I am half black, I take it as a compliment don't let it get to you sparky...take it with a grain of salt!

I go back to my first comment:

What's the point in crying over spilt milk? There is nothing we can do about these issues why dont we discuss something we CAN fix or aid guys?

And once again in response to your response to me Sparky:

eirisa: was i supposed to let just plain me call me names and all?? i never said i hated america or had anything against americans.
i just stated facts: that's all.

**Please give me some credit and proper english bby spelling my name with a capital, it's Eirisa :o) Secondly please read my above response in relation justplainme's name calling. Secondly and you have quoted "There are lots of Americans on here, and they seem to think that everyone is American and do not seem to care whether their attitude is disrespectful or not" Thats a pretty uneducated and general "statement of fact" as you call it don't you think? Perhaps you be more specific in which Americans, members of PNQ site you are actually talking about than throwing your argument out the window completely by doing the same thing you are attempting to complain about?**

someone promotes hatred toward me, calls me names and all.......what would you do, in my position? it is always easy to judge when you're not in someone else's shoes...

**Who promoted hatred against you Sparky? Like I said you need to be specific, the entire nation of America did no such thing you want to be strong and defend yourself then name names...? And personally attack their spoken words not an entire nations.
In your shoes Sparky I would do just that I would attack the person directly with my argument, I sure as hell wouldn't bother complaining to a moderator.
Easy to judge not being in another's shoes? Hun check out justplainmes comments he's name called to me too you know, also I mentioned earlier Im Australian not American so also one of the minorities or non- Americans on here so I'm not too sure what you meant by that statement if you would care to elaborate?**

where did i attack americans? where did i say anything that could be hateful and all? back up your statement and i shall be delighted to edit things out.

**And once more I quote: "I am honestly tired of this. Americans keep complaining about anti American feelings, but they do not seem to realize that they act the same way toward others" And what do you call what you just quoted...any better? Your attacking Americans a)by over generalising your statements b)by referring to an entire race you obviously have no education about c)are saying about this nation the exact same things you continue to whinge and whine about? So please do edit it out**

besides, if i may say, the french may be cowards as just plain me mentioned, but in this thread almost every reply has been posted by an american; most of them backing up just plain me. how many french have posted on here, huh??
so give me some credit, i ain't backing off, am i??

**I do you give you credit Sparky, I just dont agree with your statement is all - it doesn't mean I dont respect them or you for standing your ground -sheesh as you can tell I'm also very head strong. if you believe so strongly in it then well done keep fighting your fight my friend**

    Luv and Respect Eirisa xoxo

Plain, if only you knew the power of the kilt to turn ordinary American female tourists into sexual putty, you would not call them gay, except in the happy party on sense.
