Me Time!

Being the youngest child in my family, I was completely sheltered by my mom not allowing me to do anything alone. She enstilled fear in me and now I'm paranoid, and with my anxiety now... I try to avoid going too many places alone especially since I'd been sexually harassed when I was alone.

Anyway, I was thinking about it and I'm tired of it. I decided that I need to stop depending on others so I could have fun, and I think it's important to do something for yourself. So I'm going to see the play Wicked next week alone.

What do you think? What would you do for your "me time"? Would you really go to a play, movie, club, dinner, or concert (etc) alone?

I know how it feels being the youngest in the family..not coz am one...but coz my brother is...and i see how extra careful everyone is about him, it's only coz we really care about him and want what's best for him...

answering ur question..well it depends on how safe the place ur living in is...i mean u can a get independant bit by bit..for instance, try goin with a freind or two at first...if it goes on well, then maybe alone next time wud be ok..
besides, i dunno..but goin to the movies, play club, or stuff like that wud be actually quiet boring if ur alone...i dunno, if ur the type of person that really wants to be ALONE...i.e. totally not with anyone familiar..then give it a try, but make sure ur safe, and don't be too open!!!

truth is: the world out there is not a safe place..it gets dangerous and dirty (excuse me for the word) most of the time...

Dunno where I would go though, probably somewhere natural and quiet where I could relax and read a book or a health spa

Well it's just that I constantly wait for people and they make plans and eventually break them or they always just wanna go out to eat or to the movies. That's fine but they don't really want to do what I want to do. I like to try knew things and sometimes... I think it's okay to get alone so you won't have to wait for others and just do what you want to do you know? However... I wouldn't go to a club or a party alone, I just know people claim that they would but I wonder how true that really is.

For my me time i normally go to mall or watch movie with me, myself and my soul

I NEED TO GET AROUND TO GETTING ME TIME BECAUSE IT HAS MOSTLY BEEN ALL ABOUT THE FAMILY MAYBE I JUST NEED A TRIP

Yeah, I think it's important to take the time out for yourself and to treat yourself or you'll go insane!
