God made Adam and Lilith first. Two completely separate entities. When Lilith decided she wasn't going to play housewife and servant, Adam got all pissy and had her cast out of Eden.

Eve was then made from one of Adam's ribs... and served him in all areas until she was put on the hook for eating THE apple.

This is about as big a Freudian poster comment for Adam being a closet homosexual as anything else I've ever heard.

I wonder how many of you who believe strongly in God, and i mean any God that falls into the organised religious interpretation....actually sat down and rationally thought about why you should believe.

I find, and this is just as a normal guy and also as a part time cult counseller, that most people who have extreme faith, were either raised in that religion, and so, it is part of their world construct, or...in more likely cases, their lives were bad in some harsh way, and unable to deal or accept responsibility...or simply lacking the mental schema's to explain the reasons why...they turned to religion, or more likely were turned by soemone else.

I hate to be harsh, but it is a man-made construct used to soften the pains of life and of course, prevent social collapse when relatives and friends die.

I've read of social experiments where people where lead to have faith in made up healing therapies....there is no difference in my mind to the old beliefs in the sun and moon being Gods, to the Christian believe in God the Almighty.

Same desperate need, same social and political control in the name of a deity.

Your reasoning for what happened is very weak. You must see that sin did not exist before Eve took of the fruit from the tree. Therefore, humoring your story a bit, Adam had to trat Lilith with respect, because that's what God intended. And still, since sin did not exist at the time, Lilith could not stand in an opposition to God, and deman things from Him or Adam.

It looks very much so that you refuse to accept Lilith's existence because of the sin theory.

Lilith rebelled against God. She didn't like what God had set up (Adam having dominance over her) so she rebelled, and demanded to have what she wanted.

Rebellion = sin
Sin does not = existance before Eve's act

I'm not going by just the fact that sin wasn't at the time. I'm also looking at the fact that Lilith isn't mentioned in the Bible as Adam's wife. There is only one book of truth, not a second, "more secret" book.
