Whats the difference?

Ok this is probably a REALLY stupid question :S but whats the difference between a purple scar and a white scar?

I've just been searching on the internet to see what I could find and this is what I found hope it helps

* Basically, scar healing is based upon cellular division. Healing is rather quick (a few days) and may involve during the process a small
amount of clotted blood, therefore leading to a pink or purple scar.

And just from personal experience I myself have a huge scar up my side which when it first healed was purple/pink but slowly faded to white, kind of off the topic/question but hey lol

o soo like old ones r white how long dey take to go white

Um yeah i guess old ones are white but Im not totally sure how long they take to change really depends how big they are for example the one I have on my side (not self inflicted) is just over 5 inches long and 1/2 an inch wide in places,I was told it would take about 18 months to fade to white/skin coloured and I think it probably did take about that long but some of mysmaller ones can take a few months, thats the best answer I give you sorry, hope it helps
