why is everyone trying to change the website?

why is every1 trying to change this website its fine as is
they already took the chat now i hear there changing the voting system VERY ANNOYING

The site is a work in progress, and Janis, the owner, appreciates our thoughts on how to improve things (including a system for moderators to delete rude comments).

I personally think that the voting system is important. I look at the votes on poems and read the most popular, but at the same time you cant always trust that because there is alot of downvoting because of jealousy sometimes. People should just appreciate other peoples poetry and be able to commend them for it... oh well, no way around it I guess...

The voting system can be an indicator of a poems quality, but i've found more often than not, that it is usually an indication of how long the poet has been on the site and how well known they are to other members.

Some of the best poets, and poems in my opinion on this site that i've found so far have almost no votes or comments.

Sad but true.
