Stuck between a rock and a hard place

Okay.
I used to work with this guy named chad. Before he stopped working there we started talking and casually dating. He would pick me up after work and take me to dinner and such. I really began to like him, so before he stopped working there we traded numbers and started talking on the phone for 6 and 7 hours a night! We have a lot of the same intrests so there were never those silent awkward moments.
Now the problem... I've been staying over at my cousin/best friends apt lately and her roommate used to have a thing for Chad. They never dated just talked for a couple of weeks, nothing serious though. At first I was just like whatever they never dated and we aren't really friends anyways so it shouldnt matter. well ever since i have been staying over there more and more i feel like im getting closer to her... kind of becoming her friend. I don't want her getting mad or upset with me because Chad and I are dating now but I don't want to let go of something good either!
advice?

Well first of all if you really like chad then it should be fine. But they never actually dated and tha was a while ago so she should be over it by now and i think if you really have a good relationship with this boy then you should keep him! If this girl is really becoming your firend she will understand<333
