My boyfriend told me that a guy he knows was over age and got his girlfriend pregnant [and she was under 18] and he stayed with his girlfriend and helped take care of the child, he wasn't charged with anything. |

Is this the USA we are talking about? Because i just left my career in the Police here in the UK and you can't get charged unless one of the participants is under 16. |

Ok honestly none of these people know what they are talking about i am studing law right now i am telling you that yes he can be charged if she goes to school and someone finds out that she is having sex with a minor then they have to report it with no options now if her parents find out about it then they have the option to report it. if they disagree with it then they will but if they believe that love is love then it is fine and also she can get parental consent from her parents but she would have to be 16 to do that. if younger i am pretty sure it is molestation on any level. the other thing is even if she gets pregnant and he stays with her that it won't go away he still can be charged. as far as the cases being the people vs whoever that only happens with da and stuff with this it would have to go to trial which doesn't happen with statutory rape very often but it can happen and that is what statutory rape is a of age person haveing intercourse with a minor so i hope that answers most of your questions. |
