A Vampire (Dark) Poetry Contest.

So I've been part of this website for a while now, and I've never made a contest before. So I thought it would be a good idea. So this is your typical title contest, but with alil twist of my own. I like reading dark poems, vampire poems mostly. So I'd like for you to write a vampire poem with one of these titles. 4 people per title and you can only do 2 poems each.

Prize:
1st prize will get 4 Comments and ratings of poems of your choice + the poem you submitted.

2nd prize will get 3 Comments and ratings of poems of your choice + the poem you submitted.

3rd prize will get 2 Comments and ratings of poems of your choice + the poem you submitted.

I'll leave detailed comments on poems that you choose.

And to everyone who enters this they will get a comment on the poem they wrote for this contest.

The streets will soon be running red with blood.
All because of a demon of his own deadly kind.
The red liquid will be the reason for the flood.
The streets will soon be running red with blood.
It's going to fall in sync with the rain caused mud.
He strolls calmly looking for innocent victims to find.
The streets will soon be running red with blood.

He has this thirst for blood and he'll take it tonight.
He's going to use his sharp teeth as if they were knives.
The victims will struggle, he'll tell them not to fight.
He has this thirst for blood and he'll take it tonight.
He'll hold them in his arms, stop breathing, it's too tight.
The victims will soon lose their blood, and their lives.
He has this thirst for blood and he'll take it tonight.
He's going to use his sharp teeth as if they were knives.

Throw your cards down to the table, say you want to fold.

** Triple Triolet. A triolet consists of 8 lines. The first, fourth, and the seventh repeat, as do the second and eighth.

Midnight looms across the land,
Deathly petals lay in my hand.
I took them from inside the basket,
That lay so gently upon your casket.

A tender tear runs down my cheek,
My sobs so broken, my limbs so weak.
I stamp my lips upon the wooden frame
That holds your photo; my undying flame.

The image still so clear, planted in my mind;
A stake through your heart, an act so unkind.
We'll be together as I promised, I do not disappoint.
The weapon lies so polished, with its dangerous point.

My pale hands lift it, I'm shaking, I know,
Yet I'm brave enough to see that it's my time to go.
So I smile as I get ready, ready to depart,
With a faint cry I grip on tight, and stick it in my heart.

To Spend Eternity With You

Darkness grows gentle
Upon my weary eyes;
Looking up, I see you,
Your every breath a lie.

You whisper in icy tones
That you miss what we had;
You tell me that you want me,
You want me oh so bad.

Tenderly, stroke back my hair,
Murmur softly in my ear;
Today is the day that we will
Evade love, and life and fear.

A little prick with pointed teeth,
It'll hardly hurt at all;
One little bite on my neck,
And, together, we will fall.

But is this what I wish for?
Is this what I dream to do?
To spend every living, dying moment,
To spend eternity with you?

Blood or Alcohol

It was freezing cold out, that's something I remember:
2AM and it's raining, the middle of December.
He was shaking, shivering, pleading in his eyes.
He gripped my arm tight, willing himself not to cry.

"Take it, please, or I'll have to make you pay."
An alcoholic vampire, what an absurd thing to say!
And yet it's true, I saw, as he told me of his past,
Of a life in wreckage where happiness couldn't last.

He stumbled on me one night, and offered me a deal.
His begging, a rip on my heart, it all seemed so unreal.
He begged me to release him, take the alcohol and run,
And from that very moment, I knew a nightmare had begun.

I remember every second now, it's becoming so clear;
How pale his white skin was, how forceful was my fear.
"Hurry up," he ordered, "Loud and clear, raise your voice,
It's your blood or my alcohol, it's time to make your choice."

Thirst For Blood

Long have I been waiting,
For as long as years go by,
Waiting for a taste, you see,
Of something strong but light.

This liquid I have sought,
But found none for my own,
For each time I come across
This drink's as dry as bone.

It's because of what I am, you see
For I am not like you at all,
Sure I may look quite human,
With limbs and head and all.

But, deep down I am different,
For my craving for liquid CUTS
All in a manner of speaking,
For what I thirst for is blood.
