Rules: First EIGHT entries are accepted.

The poems must be written using the following book characters. The poem doesn't necessarily have to be about the character (although I think it would be easier), but the name must be included.

No deadline. Hand in your poem whenever you think it is at its best. If somebody is taking wayyyy to much time to finish when everyone else has theirs handed in, I will have to make a deadline for that person, or disqualify them.

    1. Edward Cullen - Spoken Silence (Done)

    2. Holden Caulfield - Angels with Snipers (Done)

    3. Atticus Finch

    4. Harry Potter - Singthesorrow (Done)

    5. Isabella/Bella Swan - Breaking Dawn (Reserved)

    6. Professor Langdon

    7. Melanie Stryder

    8. Whoever is lucky enough to respond first, gets to choose their character. Let me know the book and author if it is unfamiliar to most people.

    AWARDS: 1ST PLACE: 5 RRC

    2ND PLACE: 3 RRC

    3RD PLACE: 2 RRC

This is mainly a test to see how well the poems turn out with these rules. If people do well, then I will do another, and the awards will be much greater. GOOD LUCK!!!

    Here's my poem.

    Title: Puzzle Pieces.

    A void, an empty space.
    Some internal work.
    Life's unknown request.

    Strange things without a plan.
    A mystery misery.
    Some unseen force.

    The bewitching hour strikes.
A new world, hope, and wonder opens.
    A purpose.

Past, unknown, but yet to seek.
    Parents death, a risky killer.
A quest to know the future.
    To know one's self.

    Some faces become familiar.
    A friend, a guide, a hunter.
    Innocence becomes the key.
The lock yet to be found.

Magic is no longer a game, but life.
Dark powers hidden amongst a place called home.
A deadly sin with great strength.
    A battle, a death.
    A loss, a win.

    Inseparable~Licentia Rhyme

Walking down the long aisle in a white dress,
Their bright eyes meet, loving each other no less.
Saying heartfelt words and vows meant for the two,
Until the time comes where they both say, "I do".
They smile and have a passionate deep kiss,
And forget everything, for they are in bliss.
His eyes remind her of honey, pure and gold,
While touching his soft hand is pleasurably cold.
The reception follows, with music and dance,
He glides her across the floor, with such romance.
They can't live or breathe without the other one,
For he's the night moon and she's the morning sun.

Bella tells her friend Jacob what will occur,
But he doesn't trust Edward alone with her.
She locks up those hurtful words in her full mind,
And moves on from that point, not looking behind.
Walking outside, just grinning as rice showers,
Entering a limo, filled with sweet flowers.
Time for their honeymoon, just taking it slow,
But Edward won't tell her yet where they will go.
Boarding a flight and stiffly holding his hand,
Waiting anxiously for the small plane to land.
Exiting the airport, a taxi awaits,
He mutters silently, "its not even late".

Then they ride smoothly in a beautiful yacht,
Hours pass by, then she sees a small white dot.
Bella looks up at Edward, completely confused,
But he stays silent, his expression amused.
Looking out at the sparkling evening waves,
The chilly night dark, like thousands of black caves.
Eyes closing fast, she drifts off to soundless sleep,
All these memories she will forever keep.
He wakes her up gently, she opens her eyes,
And sees a private island to her surprise.
Leaning in towards her, he whispers in her ear,
"Our honeymoon awaits, my beautiful dear".

Based on the novel "Breaking Dawn" by Stephenie Meyer.

The Licentia Rhyme consists of 3 stanzas that have 12 lines in each one. Every line has 11 syllables. It can be elongated by adding on the following rhyming scheme:
    aabbccddeeAA, BBffgghhiiAA, CCjjkkllAA.

Im no good at writing with names of people but thought id right in a first person view like the book was

    Holden

Ive seen failure and he's not pretty,
    And yeah,
    Ive met death.
    But at least Grim's interesting.

    Cause I cry at night,
    And thats not right.

    So Drink in these fumes,
Sobrieties a sin in this generation.

And love at this point seems
    An abstract idea.
    Its such a pity;
    That she feels this way,
    Cause im so ready,
For more than a story in the closet.

    And...
    Are we really feeling this?

    Because we cry at night,
It just seems so right in the light...

    The morning sun,
    Washes away this regret.
And these streets dont quite feel the same anymore.

    Amidst all of this;
    I just sit and watch,
As time flies by in a blur of faces,
And the disgust builds and builds,
In places like this its hard to smile.
