I Need Some Ideas...Help Please

    Okay, here it goes:

So I'm in the process of writing this series called "M.I.S.E.R.Y. (So This Is How It Ends)". Yes, I know it's a little depressing, but that's the style of writing I'm REALLY good at (evoking sadness is a gift I have as a writer...strange, seeing as I'm almost always hyper...lol)

But anyway, let's get back to the topic. I'm writing a series. It's going to have five parts to it. I'm already done with parts one, two, and three. So I need some ideas with four.

Now, for part four, I'm looking to give the story a sense of...idk...darkness? Something...menacing? I'm not sure how to put it, because I've never written anything quite like that before. But I know that's the feeling I want my story to have...

So what kind of story pitches do you think would get readers to feel a sense of darkness emanating from the story?

    I'm at a loss...ideas are welcome!

    Thank you!!!!

-. Write about the first experience with death that you can remember,
whether it involved a person or an animal. Then write about
your most recent experience with death. Combine the two in a
    poem.

-. Write a poem in which you speak after your own death. Imagine
what death looks and feels like, what your emotions are. What
advice can you give to the living?

-. Write a letter to someone who is dead. In it, make a confession.

-. Invent your own metaphor for death, and write a poem about
    what dying might feel like.

-. Who are your dead? Have them meet in a poem, even if they
never met in life, and describe how they interact.

-. Write a first-person poem in the voice of a public figure who is
    dead.

-. What can the dead do: go through walls, see the future, move
objects? What are their powers and limitations? What are their
desires, fears, pleasures? Describe them in a poem.

-. If you own some object that used to belong to someone who is
no longer alive, describe it in detail, along with your memories
or imaginings about how that person used it. You might also talk
about how it is used in the present.

-. Write a poem about a ritual that accompanies a death. It might
be about a traditional funeral, a wake, or some more private or
individual observance. If you find an occasion for joy or beauty
in the midst of mourning, include it. (Do this last part only if it
    feels true to your experience.)

This is from the book I've been reading for a while, I hope it'll help you :)

    Thank you for ideas!!

    And to clear things up:

The series that I'm writing is about anything that can be labeled as depressing, disturbing, miserable...just a dark series of short stories in general.

The first short is about a black girl living in the sixties going to an integrated high school. She gets raped, her parents say it's her fault, and she kills herself at the end of it.

The second is about two girls who are best friends. One has a druggie for a mother, and the second has an unloving foster mom who has an abusive boyfriend. The two are constantly ridiculed at their school for being "lesbians," although they aren't.
After one of them is attacked by a girl from their school, they run away together.

The third story is about a girl who has dissociative personality disorder. She is thinking about killing herself during a storm, and the entire story is about her warring with her alter ego, trying to decide whether or not to commit suicide. She decides not to in the end.

Now I need ideas for story number four. That's all.
