Yes, actually. I have. It is very common, like what those two said. Because you know them so well and you already spend so much time together.

See when it happened to me, it hurt. I thought that he was so perfect and so wonderful as a person. There wasen't one thing I didn't know about him because we talked and hung out almost every single day. We grew up together also which made it that much more fragile considering we had plenty of great "friend" moments together. It hurt of course, but I realized how awful it would be if I ruined our friendship. So eventually, and painfully, I got over him. It was about 3 years ago and we remain best friends to this very day actually :)

I think to have an amazing relationship with someone, they have to know you inside and out. Most of the time, your best friend is the person who knows you best. Hence why they're called your best friend. :]

Yeah, we started dating and it was too akward so we both decided to call it quits, and now we are still really good friends.

That 's why I don't date my best friends....scared to ruin the friendship

If you both have feelings for each other and want to date, i think it will probably turn out to be a pretty good relationship. But there's always a chance it won't work and you guys would have to figure out how the friendship would work

HAH! I did. Everything is great between us. I just wish it would have happened sooner. Really, not a lot really changed between us. We started kissing and acting couple-y and that was about it. He's seriously perfect for me. It gets kind of freaky sometimes because we will finish each others sentences or think the same things at the same exact times. And its not a coincidence because it happens ALL the time. Lol.

"i don't want to ruin our friendship" and i hated that. if you have feeling for someone even if they are you rbestfriend. don't ignore those feelings its a waste of time. to me anyhow

Yeah when I was younger and he fell inlove with me.....on/off all the time, we were better off as friends lol met him when I was 15, now I am 25 and we are still friends :0) we will alwasy have that special connection, so maybe we will end up getting married lmao

I think it really just depends on the people. i mean my best friend and i, have liked each other for as long as we can remember but we always made the promise we wouldn't date because we both care so much about our friendship though it might happen after high school someday, that was the deal we made haha

Yes but the whole thing took time in the beginning we just talked coz we would have to actually the first thing he ever said to me (given we had never met or to what i knew seen eachother before) scared the crap outta me, we grew closer and became very close things then dated for several months in that time so much happened things beyond fell apart, he had a history of cheating yet i stupidly trusted him etc and we eventually broke up, we did stay good friends that's slowly fading... now i have another very close male friend who has admitted feelings for me but has the respect not to try anything because he knows i have a bf o who is about to move in with me and the guys even helping me clean my room so the move can happen on time

Wow kinda crazy i found this topic lol my boyfriend just broke up with me and he was my best friend. we had hung out all summer and became really good friends. and he tried to get me to go out with him and i kept telling him no. this went on for about 2 months. so finally got to the point where i did have feelings for him and we dated for about a month and a half and he just broke up with me tonight because he said he decided he didnt want to be with me anymore.....idk confusing stuff
