Umm.. this is a tough one. Basically it depends on a lot of things, who this person is, how you know etc!

I mean from my experience, nobody gets off drugs without wanting to themselves. I used to have a slight addiction to drugs, Speed to be precise and the only reason i stopped is because i decided it was time. Nothing anyone else could say really effected me, it was selfish i know but thats where you mind is at when your on drugs.

Read my poem "Please Stop", it may help!

Depending on the way you handle this situation you can cause one of two effects the way I see it and this IS judging from personal experiences on both ends being the drug user and the heart broken friend...
By saying something about this situation you're either going to
    1) Push the person further and further away and even deeper into their habit (98% most likely result particulaly based on the amount of emotion behind your words despite your intentions)
    2) Really help the person realise that they have a problem and need help to remove themselves from it before its too late - unfortnately with drug abuse this result rarely occurs

My only advice is tread very carefully and pick your words extremely well - I suggest a letter cause you can make sure it comes across the way you intend it to sound...

Good luck and all the best
