I loved 3 guys in high school

Seriously, I loved 3 different guys at 3 different times in high school, well at least I thought I did.

Now that I'm out of high school I realize that it was lust, and some weren't even cute!

Rob, my first "love" thought he was cool because he wore dresses for t-shirts and his pants as knee socks.

Jason, my second "love" was such a sweetheart, but I lied to him-a lot.

Peter, my third "love - well I'm pretty sure he was gay.

Now that I have to come to the realization that I don't know what love is...I don't know if I can ever love again. How will I know if I'm really in love?

I genuinely thought I was in love with 3 guys before! I really don't want to pursue similar romances in university! Just the thought of it frightens me.

Don't worry about it at all. Everybody thinks they love people that they don't- it's just part of growing up. You'll know when it's the real thing and until then just keep having fun. You can't know who you love if you don't know who (or what) you don't love. Take care.
